The past two weeks have brought several updates across the two-wheeler market in India, including price hikes, new colour options, and upcoming launches. Brands like TVS, Ather, Bajaj, KTM, Yamaha, Hero, and Ducati have made notable moves, impacting both budget and premium segments.
From rising prices on popular commuter models to new-generation upgrades and stylish editions, the market continues to evolve rapidly. Here’s a quick roundup of all the key developments you should know.
TVS has increased the prices of the Apache RTR 160 2V and Apache RTR 160 4V by up to Rs. 600 in India. While most variants have become slightly costlier, some base versions remain unchanged.
There are no changes to the engine or features. Both TVS bikes continue to offer reliable performance, and this minor hike is unlikely to impact buyer interest in the 160cc segment.
TVS has also raised prices across most of its lineup due to rising costs. Models like Jupiter, Raider 125, and iQube have become more expensive, with hikes ranging from Rs. 550 to Rs. 13,580 depending on the variant.
However, the Ntorq 125 is now more affordable, with prices reduced by up to Rs. 1,650. This makes it a better value option for buyers looking for a sporty and feature-packed scooter.

Ather Energy has revealed its upcoming electric scooter, the Konarc, which is set to launch on August 29, 2026. Built on a new EL platform, this Ather electric scooter will focus on affordability, practicality, and everyday usability, targeting a wider range of buyers.
The Konarc features a simple and clean design with LED lighting, a spacious seat, and a focus on comfort. While full specifications are yet to be announced, it is expected to offer competitive pricing and multiple variants, making it an important launch for Ather in the mass-market segment.

Bajaj has increased the prices of the Freedom 125 across all variants, with the base model seeing the biggest jump. The motorcycle now starts at Rs. 1.04 lakh (ex-showroom), making it slightly more expensive for buyers.
There are no changes to its engine or features. It continues with the same 124cc CNG-powered setup and dual-fuel technology, though its sales have slowed in recent months despite offering low running costs.
Bajaj has also started dispatching the next-gen Pulsar 125 to dealerships ahead of its expected launch. The updated model gets a sharper design, LED lighting, and a new rear monoshock, making it more modern and comfortable for daily use.
The engine is expected to remain unchanged, but the Bajaj bike will offer improved features and styling. Once launched, it will continue to rival models like the TVS Raider 125, Hero Xtreme 125R, and Honda SP 125 in the segment.

Hero MotoCorp has launched a new Aqua Grey colour for the Pleasure Plus scooter in India. It is available on the VX and ZX variants, priced at Rs. 72,779 and Rs. 77,162 (ex-showroom, Delhi), with no mechanical changes.
The new shade adds a fresh look with updated graphics and premium touches like chrome elements on the ZX variant. The scooter continues with the same 110.9cc engine, offering unchanged performance with a more stylish appeal.

KTM has introduced a new Ebony Black colour for the 2026 KTM 390 Adventure, adding a more subtle and stylish option to its lineup. The new scheme features black and grey panels with signature orange graphics, giving the bike a cleaner yet sporty look.
There are no changes to the engine or features. It continues with the same performance and equipment, with prices expected to remain around Rs. 2.87 lakh (ex-showroom).
KTM has increased the prices of the 390 Adventure S and 390 Adventure R by about Rs. 8,000. The Adventure S is now priced at Rs. 4.05 lakh, while the Adventure R costs Rs. 3.86 lakh (ex-showroom).
Both models remain unchanged mechanically and continue to offer different riding experiences, with the S focused on touring and the R designed for off-road use.

KTM has also raised the prices of the 390 Duke and 390 Duke R by up to Rs. 7,000. The standard version now costs Rs. 2.84 lakh, while the Duke R is priced at Rs. 3.45 lakh (ex-showroom).
There are no updates to performance or features, and both KTM bikes continue to deliver strong performance and advanced features, making them popular choices in the street bike segment.
Yamaha has reintroduced the MotoGP Edition for the R15 V4 and MT-15 Version 2.0 in India due to strong customer demand. These Yamaha bikes now feature racing-inspired graphics and the signature Monster Energy MotoGP livery. However, there are no changes in engine or performance.
In addition, Yamaha has updated the FZ bike range with new colour options like Ice Storm and Metallic Black. Prices start at Rs. 1.76 lakh for the R15 V4 MotoGP and Rs. 1.77 lakh for the MT-15 MotoGP (ex-showroom), offering more style choices for buyers.
Ducati will launch the 2026 Monster in India on August 10. The new Ducati bike comes with an updated 890cc V-twin engine that produces 109.4 bhp and 91 Nm. Although the power is slightly lower than before, Ducati aims to offer smoother performance and better ride quality.
The Ducati bike keeps its sporty design with an LED headlamp and lightweight frame. It also gets features like ride modes, traction control, and a quickshifter. The expected price is around Rs. 14 lakh, making it a strong option in the premium segment.
