Bajaj Pulsar 125 Gets Biggest Update in Years; Showroom Arrival Begins

Bajaj Auto has started sending the next gen Bajaj Pulsar 125 to dealerships before its expected August 12 launch. Showroom sightings came days after a camouflaged test bike surfaced online.

The updated motorcycle brings a sharper design, new LED lighting, revised body panels, and a rear mono shock suspension. These changes could make the entry level Pulsar more appealing to daily commuters. It targets buyers who want a modern motorcycle without upgrading to a bigger engine. Other Classic Pulsar models are also expected to receive similar updates in the coming weeks.

Bajaj Pulsar 125 Gets Sharper New Look

The Bajaj Bike retains the familiar fuel tank shape but gets redesigned tank shrouds with a sharper appearance. The motorcycle also gets a new LED headlamp that looks more aggressive than before.

At the rear, Bajaj has updated the tail lamp for the first time since the Classic Pulsar UG3 update in 2006. The revised LED tail lamp gives the motorcycle a cleaner and more modern look.

The test bike seen at dealerships appears to be a lower variant. It features a single piece seat, a single grab rail, and halogen turn indicators instead of LED units.

Next Gen Bajaj Pulsar 125: Latest Features

The motorcycle appears to get a larger colour LCD instrument cluster. It is also expected to support turn by turn navigation for added convenience during daily commuting.

Bajaj has also redesigned the exhaust and side body panels. Parts of the silver finished frame are now visible, adding a fresh styling touch. Clip on handlebars and the hinged fuel filler cap continue unchanged.

Higher variants could offer split seats, a belly pan, split grab rails, and LED turn indicators, based on earlier spy images.

Rear Mono Shock

The biggest change is the addition of a rear mono shock suspension. No Classic Pulsar has offered this setup before. This suggests Bajaj may have revised the frame and subframe.

The engine is expected to remain unchanged. It could continue with the 124.38cc air cooled single cylinder engine producing 11.8 PS and 10.8 Nm. The engine will likely remain paired with a five speed gearbox. The 15 litre fuel tank is also expected to continue.

Once launched, the next gen Bajaj Pulsar 125 will continue to rival the TVS Raider 125, Hero Xtreme 125R and Honda SP125 in India's 125cc commuter motorcycle segment.

With showroom arrivals already underway, the next gen Bajaj Pulsar 125 appears ready for launch. Buyers can expect a familiar engine, fresher styling, more features, and a suspension upgrade for improved everyday riding comfort.
