TVS Ntorq 125 Expert Opinion

“ TVS Ntorq 125 is a sporty scooter that’s great for city rides and short weekend trips. It looks cool, feels quick, and is packed with useful tech like Bluetooth and voice assist. The Race XP variant, especially, adds more power and riding modes. While it could be a bit softer on rough roads, overall, it’s a great choice for young and tech-savvy riders.”

5/5

The TVS Ntorq 125 has been one of the most fun and youthful scooters in India since its debut. It was already known for its sporty design, good performance, and loaded features, but with updates over the years, it continues to improve. The Race XP variant especially takes the excitement up a notch by adding more power and smart tech features.

TVS Ntorq 125 - Overview

We have spent a fair bit of time with this scooter across different roads. It's definitely one of the most engaging scooters in the 125cc class. Let’s know more about this scooter in detail.

4.5/5

  •
  • The scooter has a sharp, sporty design that really stands out, especially in Race XP and Super Squad versions. It grabs attention easily, especially with the bright colours and colourful alloys.
  • The carbon-fibre-style panels and edgy graphics give it a more premium, performance-focused feel. We liked the red stitching on the seat too.
  • The Ntorq 125’s fit and finish are solid. Nothing felt loose or rattled during our ride, and the panels appear to be tightly put together.
  • The LED tail light and DRLs look smart and offer good visibility, especially during cloudy or foggy weather.

TVS Ntorq 125 - Tail light

  • The 22-litre under-seat storage is roomy and can hold a half-face helmet or a small backpack.
  • There’s a USB charging port inside, along with a boot light.
  • External fuel filling is convenient. You don’t have to open the seat to refuel.
  • The small footboard doesn’t leave much room for luggage if you’re carrying a bag in front.
  • However, the scooter comes with two utility hooks, one under the handlebar panel and another near the floorboard under the seat, which is capable of carrying up to 3 kg.

TVS Ntorq 125 - Indicator

4/5

  • The seat height is low and ideal even if you aren’t very tall. At 5'10", we could plant both feet with ease.

TVS Ntorq 125 - Seat

  • The riding posture is upright and comfortable. It doesn't strain your back or arms during long rides.
  • However, the footboard is a bit cramped. Carrying a bag between your feet can be uncomfortable.
  • The suspension is on the firmer side. It helps with handling, but you do feel most of the bumps on poor roads.
  • Great for short city commutes, but for long rides over bumpy roads, you might feel a little sore by the end.

4.5/5

  • TVS Ntorq 125 comes with a 124.8cc engine that generates 7 kW power and 10.6 Nm of torque.

TVS Ntorq 125 - Engine

  • The Race XP variant makes more power than any other Ntorq 125 variant, and you can really feel it while riding.
  • You have two riding modes: Street and Race. Among them, the street mode is great for daily use and offers better fuel efficiency.
  • The race mode gives you the full 10+ horsepower and feels punchy. Its acceleration is quick and fun, especially up to 60-70 kmph.
  • On an open road, we could cruise comfortably around 80-90 kmph, and with a bit of effort, even see the speedometer touch 100.
  • The scooter doesn't feel out of breath at higher speeds but does lose a bit of steam after 90 kmph.
  • Due to the lightweight build, the scooter feels zippy and light on its feet, especially in traffic.
  • In Street mode, we managed around 38-41 kmpl, which is decent for a scooter with this kind of power.
  • In Race mode, expect slightly lower figures below 40 kmpl depending on how you ride.
  • With a 5-litre fuel tank, the scooter can easily go over 250km before needing a refill.

TVS Ntorq 125 - Fuel Tank

5/5

  • The SmartXonnect tech is the highlight here. You get turn-by-turn navigation, call and SMS alerts, ride data, and even voice assist.

TVS Ntorq 125 - Headlight

  • The voice assist system lets you change riding modes or get info using commands, which is a cool segment-first feature.
  • The Race XP's display changes depending on which mode you're in. The race mode even shows a lap timer.
  • The mobile app displays various data, including fuel levels, speed, riding time, and the last parked location.
  • You can also store documents and control alerts through the app. It worked fine during our ride, but it crashed once when not connected.

TVS Ntorq 125 - Clutch Lever

5/5

  • Handling is one of the Ntorq’s biggest strengths. It’s easy to flick around in traffic and feel confident in corners.

TVS Ntorq 125 - Digital Console

  • The short turning radius is very helpful in tight spots or parking areas.
  • The suspension setup is a bit firm, so it corners well but isn’t super plush on broken roads.
  • Moreover, the 12-inch wheels and fat tyres give it good grip. Even during fast cornering or sudden braking, the scooter felt stable.

TVS Ntorq 125 - Tyre

  • The brakes work well. The disc brake on the front offers good bite and the Synchronised Braking System helps when stopping quickly.

TVS Ntorq 125 - Brake

4/5

If you want a stylish, sporty, and feature-packed scooter, the TVS Ntorq 125 is a great choice. The Race XP variant is especially fun to ride. It offers a good mix of performance, features, and daily comfort. The suspension is a bit firm, and the foot space is tight. But those are small issues. Whether you're going to college, work, or just riding around, the Ntorq makes every ride more fun.
