TVS Ntorq 150

The TVS Ntorq 150 is the company’s latest entry into the 150–175cc sporty scooter segment. It’s based on the popular Ntorq 125 but comes with a bigger 149.7cc engine, a sharper design, and a long list of modern features.

It’s available in two variants, including Base and TFT, with prices starting at Rs 1.09 lakh (ex-showroom) and going up to Rs 1.18 lakh for the top model. It competes with scooters like the Yamaha Aerox 155, Hero Xoom 160, and Aprilia SR 175.

The Ntorq 150 gets smart tech features like TFT screen, riding modes, traction control, smartphone connectivity, and more. Moreover, it looks like a well-balanced scooter that offers both performance and practicality. But how does it actually feel? Let’s explore.

• The design is sharp and aggressive, with sporty lines and bold styling that instantly grabs attention.
• The front features sleek LED DRLs and four LED projector headlights, which look striking and are a first in this segment.

• The scooter also gets winglets on the apron, sharp creases, and a split ‘T’-shaped LED tail light, which makes the rear stand out.

• You can choose from four flashy colours, including Turbo Blue, Stealth Silver, Racing Red, and Nitro Green. 
• The side panels flex, and the floorboard feels a bit flimsy. The switchgear is nice and premium, but overall, it doesn’t feel like a big upgrade over the 125.
• The seat is spacious, with good legroom on the floorboard, which makes it comfortable even for taller riders.

• The pillion seat is wide, but the space is just okay for two adults. The footrests are a bit high, which may feel tight for taller pillions on long rides.

• The Ntorq 150 uses a 149.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, 3-valve engine, which is based on the Ntorq 125’s motor but made bigger and lighter.

• It produces 13 bhp of power and 14.2 Nm of torque, which makes it one of the most powerful scooters in its class.
• The scooter comes with two riding modes, including Street and Race. The street mode gives a smooth throttle response for daily rides, while Race mode makes it sharper and more fun.
• TVS claims it can do 0–60 km/h in 6.3 seconds in Race mode, which is quick for a scooter.
• It also uses TVS’s hybrid iGO assist system in Race mode, which gives a little extra torque boost during acceleration.
• On the highway, it can cruise at 80 km/h comfortably and even hit 100 km/h without struggling too much.
• The expected mileage is around 47.5 km/l, which is quite decent for a 150cc scooter.

• It rides on 12-inch alloy wheels with wide tubeless tyres, which give good grip and stability in traffic and corners.

• The scooter feels light, nimble, and easy to handle, especially in city rides.

• The front disc brake with ABS and traction control gives better safety and control.
• TVS Ntorq 150 has adjustable brake levers that feel nice to use and give good feedback.
• The front telescopic suspension and rear coil spring with hydraulic dampers suspension balances comfort and sportiness well.

• The scooter offers two riding modes, traction control, side-stand engine cut-off, and panic brake alert, which flashes the indicators when you brake suddenly.

• At front, there’s a 2-litre cubby hole that gives extra storage for small items like keys, wallets, or a water bottle.
• The multi-function key slot makes refuelling easier and more convenient.
• The top-end TFT variant gets all the features, including ride telemetry and switchable traction control.

The Ntorq 150 is quick, well-equipped, and feels fresh. If you’re moving up from a 110cc scooter, this will feel like a big upgrade. But if you already ride the Ntorq 125, the difference may not feel massive. Still, for its price, it’s a smart and well-balanced sporty scooter in the 150cc class.
