Suzuki Access 125

If you’ve ever been on a busy Indian road, you’ve probably seen a Suzuki Access 125 ride by. It’s been around since 2007 and has earned a solid name for being smooth, reliable, and super practical. For 2025, Suzuki has given it a small update. It still feels like the same trusted scooter, just with a few nice upgrades.

We rode the new Access around city in traffic and even with a pillion on evening rides. It felt light, easy, and comfortable the whole time. So, let’s break it down and see how the 2025 Suzuki Access 125 really performs across different aspects.

• The Access still has a clean and simple look, which is great if you like the classic scooter style.
• Suzuki hasn’t changed the design too much and that’s a good thing.
• It does get a few modern touches though, like a new LED headlamp with a chrome border and a U-shaped DRL that gives it a stylish look without going over the top.

• The side panels now have sharper lines, and the back of the scooter looks a bit sporty. It even reminded us of the Hayabusa’s tail.

• Most variants have beige panels on the inside parts, like the floorboard and front apron. It gives the scooter a nice, premium feel.
• The scooter uses both plastic and metal parts, the front mudguard and part of the apron are metal, which adds a bit more strength.
• Build quality feels solid. Even when we rode over bad roads in city, there were no rattles or squeaky noises. It felt strong and well put together.

• The base and mid variant come with a digital LCD instrument console that shows your speed, fuel, clock, and even real-time mileage.

• If you pick the Ride Connect Edition or TFT Edition, you get Bluetooth connectivity you can see navigation directions, message alerts, and even rain warnings.
• During our testing, the Suzuki Ride Connect app worked, but not always smoothly, sometimes it took time to sync with the scooter.
• The new multi-function key slot is super convenient. It lets you open the seat and the external fuel lid without removing the key.

• We liked that there’s a USB charger above the front cubby, though it’s a basic Type-A charger a faster Type-C port would’ve been nicer.
• The top variant also gets a colourful TFT screen which looks nice and is easy to read under the sun.

• The Access 125 comes with a 124cc engine. It generates 8.6bhp and 10.2 Nm of torque. 
• In our test rides, it went from 0 to 40kmph in just over 3 seconds. Its faster than most of its rivals.

• What impressed us most is how smooth it feels. Even at 80kmph, there are no vibrations on the handlebar or footboard.
• Riding in the city is super easy. Just a small twist of the throttle and you can overtake most cars without any effort.
• On the highway, I was able to hit around 90 to 95kmph without the scooter feeling shaky. Though at those speeds, the small 10-inch rear wheel doesn’t give as much confidence as a bigger one would.
• We got around 45 kmpl in mixed city and highway riding. That’s really good for a scooter that feels this quick.

• The underseat storage is now a bit bigger. It can hold 24.5 litres, so you can carry a half-face helmet or a couple of grocery bags fit in just fine.

• You also get two small storage pockets at the front. They’re handy for small stuff, but the openings are a bit narrow.
• On one of our rides, we hit a bump and our phone nearly flew out of the front trunk, so we’d suggest not keeping loose items in there if you’re riding fast.
• There’s a hook on the front and another foldable one under the seat, which is great for hanging shopping bags or a backpack.
• One clever detail we really liked is the small pegs under the seat. You can hook plastic bags on them, and once the seat is shut, they stay in place nicely.
• The floorboard is wide and flat. You can place a cabin-size suitcase on it and still had enough space to keep your feet on both sides comfortably.

• The seat is long and comfy. Even our 6-foot-tall rider felt comfortable riding it.
• The handlebar sits high, so it never hit knees, even during tight U-turns. That really helps when riding in city traffic.

• The seat is on the softer side. After riding 30–40km non-stop, we did feel a bit of backache, but if you’re lighter, it might not be a problem.
• Pillion riders will be happy too. The seat is low enough for shorter people to hop on easily, and the grab rail is easy to hold.
• The footpegs at the back fold out smoothly and are placed well. Our pillion didn’t complain even after a longer ride.

• The Access weighs around 106kg, so it’s really easy to handle, even in traffic or while parking.
• It has a tight turning radius, which made riding through narrow streets and busy traffic super easy for us.

• The front suspension is soft and soaks up bumps nicely. But the rear felt a little stiff when we were riding alone, it felt better with a pillion on board.
• One small downside is the 10-inch rear wheel. These days, many scooters have 12-inch wheels on both ends, which feel more stable at high speeds.
• Still, the Access handled well. Even when we took a quick turn at 60kmph, it stayed stable and didn’t feel wobbly at all.
• The base model comes with drum brakes, but the higher variants get a front disc. The disc works fine, though I had to pull a bit hard to get a strong stop.

Absolutely, if you want a simple, reliable, and smooth 125cc scooter. The Access 125 nails the basics: comfort, refinement, and practical use for daily life.

If you’re looking for a flashy scooter with lots of fancy tech, the Access might not be for you. But if you just want a scooter that’s smooth, reliable, and easy to live with, it’s a great choice. And the price is fair too, the mid-variant gives you the best value for money.
