Under the body sits a 124cc, air cooled engine making 8.31 bhp and 10.2 Nm of torque. It’s an automatic, so everyday commuting is easier, especially if you hit stop and go traffic daily.

Seat height is 780mm, which is easy for a lot of adults. Still, check your foot placement on a test ride. And the 114kg kerb weight matters the moment you push it into a parking space.

My take: this is for solo commuters, office goers and anyone who values comfort over sporty performance. The larger body isn’t ideal for narrow lanes or crowded parking.

• The Burgman brings a maxi scooter look to the everyday 125cc segment. Its long body and broad front section make the Activa and Access look plain. That’s the main reason to shortlist it.

The Suzuki Burgman Street 125 is a comfortable city scooter with distinctive styling. The automatic transmission, useful storage and relaxed seating position suit daily office commutes and routine errands.

The price is the catch. And the 114kg weight and broad body won’t suit riders who park in tight spaces often. Performance is about practical commuting, not sporty acceleration.
