Ducati launched the Desmo450 EDX and Desmo450 MX Factory in India on November 5, 2026. The new off road motorcycles expand the Italian brand’s motocross and enduro range.
Prices start at Rs 18.55 lakh (ex showroom) for the EDX. The MX Factory costs Rs 21.26 lakh. The EDX targets enduro and cross country riders, while the MX Factory focuses on motocross performance. Both models use Ducati’s 449.6cc single cylinder engine.

The Desmo450 EDX costs Rs 18.55 lakh (ex showroom). It gets an 8.5 litre fuel tank, compared with the MX Factory’s 7.2 litre unit. Ducati has also fitted Pirelli Scorpion XC mid soft tyres for trail riding.
The EDX weighs 107.1kg without fuel. Its chassis and Showa suspension have been tuned for enduro terrain. These changes make it better suited to longer off road routes than a motocross focused setup.
Both motorcycles use a 449.6cc, liquid cooled, single cylinder engine. It produces 63.5hp at 9,400rpm and 53.5Nm at 7,500rpm. Ducati’s Desmodromic valve system controls both valve opening and closing mechanically.
Ducati claims 70 per cent of peak torque is available from 4,200rpm. This should help riders maintain momentum across demanding off road sections.
The electronics package includes:
The traction control system can also recognise jumps and temporarily stop intervening.
The Desmo450 MX Factory costs Rs 21.26 lakh (ex showroom). It weighs 104kg without fuel and gets a titanium Akrapovic exhaust. Other upgrades include billet triple clamps, dedicated engine mapping and a holeshot device.
It also gets fully adjustable 49mm Showa front forks. These offer 310mm travel, while the rear monoshock provides 301mm wheel travel. The Ducati bike uses Pirelli Scorpion MX32 Mid Soft tyres and Brembo braking components.
These are specialised off road motorcycles, not everyday commuters. Ducati recommends piston replacement and valve clearance inspections around every 45 operating hours. Buyers should consider this maintenance requirement alongside the purchase price.
The MX Factory competes in a specialised motocross category against models like the KTM 450 SX F.
Ducati has opened bookings for both motorcycles across its dealerships in India. The EDX suits riders prioritising trail and cross country use. The MX Factory is aimed at buyers seeking a more competition focused motocross machine.
