Top Electric Scooter Sales August 2026: Chetak Leads The List

The Indian electric scooter market recorded strong growth in August 2026. The top selling models in the table recorded total sales of 1,88,714 units, compared with 81,681 units in August 2025. This represents a 131.04% year-on-year growth. Bajaj Chetak led the list, followed by TVS iQube and Hero Vida.

The table below shows the sales performance of the top electric scooters in August 2026 compared with August 2025.

Bajaj Chetak Leads Electric Scooter Sales

The Bajaj Chetak topped the August 2026 sales chart with 52,248 units, compared with 14,014 units in August 2025. It recorded 272.83% YoY growth and held a 27.69% share of the sales listed in the table.

In addition, the TVS iQube secured second place with 42,882 units, up from 24,434 units last year. It recorded 75.50% growth. Hero Vida ranked third with 25,558 units and posted 108.25% YoY growth.

Ather Rizta And TVS Orbiter Record Strong Sales

The Ather Rizta recorded 22,586 units, showing 30.22% growth over August 2025. Meanwhile, the TVS Orbiter recorded 14,641 units in August 2026, while the table shows no sales for August 2025.

Perhaps the highest growth rate came from Bajaj Yulu, which increased from 150 units to 1,500 units, marking 900% growth. River Indie also recorded strong growth of 194.62% with 6,567 units.

New Models Add To August Sales

Several scooters in the August 2026 list have no corresponding sales figure for August 2025. These include Honda QC1, Suzuki e-Access, Yamaha EC06 and Ather Konarc.

However, Honda Activa E increased from 20 units in August 2025 to 140 units in August 2026, registering 600% growth. Overall, the data shows strong year-on-year growth across the listed electric scooters in August 2026.
