Yamaha launched the EC 06 electric scooter in India on February 2, 2026, marking its entry into the electric vehicle market. The scooter was developed in collaboration with EV startup River, for riders who want smart technology integration and everyday comfort. It features 3 riding modes, including Eco, Standard, & Power. This allows switching between maximum battery savings and quick throttle responses.

The single available Yamaha EC 06 colour is Bluish White. Moreover, the scooter features an all LED lighting setup and convenient charging capability using a regular home socket.

The Yamaha scooter utilizes a telescopic front fork suspension with hydraulic dampers and a coil spring rear suspension with hydraulic dampers. This setup works together to absorb bumps and handle uneven roads effortlessly. 

The grip on slippery roads is backed by 14 inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres. The 200 mm disc brakes at both ends, and a Combi Brake System (CBS) offer confident stopping power. It also offers litres of underseat storage, in which a helmet or grocery items can be kept easily.
