Sporty Design and Adjustable Seat Height

BMW F 450 RR Design

The BMW F 450 RR features a low front end, a raised rear section, winglets and side fairings. In addition, its LED headlight, clip-on handlebars and shaped fuel tank support its sporty look and riding position.

The standard seat height is 790 mm. Buyers can also choose an optional 775 mm seat or an 810 mm seat to suit their height and riding preference. The bike weighs 177 kg in road-ready condition, rising to 178 kg with the Easy Ride Clutch.

The F 450 RR uses a liquid-cooled, 420cc parallel-twin engine that produces 48 hp at 8,750 rpm and 43 Nm of torque at 6,750 rpm. BMW pairs it with a six-speed gearbox.

According to BMW, the bike can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 177 km/h. Its claimed fuel consumption is around 26.3 km/l. Moreover, the 14-litre fuel tank offers a calculated range of more than 350 km under the stated consumption figure, although actual distance will depend on riding conditions.

Four Variants and Optional Easy Ride Clutch

BMW will offer the F 450 RR in Base, Sport, M Sport, and M Sport with Innovation Package versions. The Sport variant adds Shift Assistant Pro and sport suspension, while the M Sport versions include Riding Modes Pro. The bike comes in Cosmic Black for the Base variant and Racing Red for the Sport variant. The M Sport and M Sport with Innovation Package variants feature the Snaefell White / M Motorsport colour scheme.

Perhaps the most notable option is the Easy Ride Clutch (ERC). It automatically operates the clutch when the rider starts, stops, or changes gears. However, riders must still select gears themselves. BMW also allows customers to add this feature to other variants.

Suspension, Brakes and Rider Features

BMW F 450 RR

The bike gets a 43 mm KYB upside-down front fork and a rear monoshock with adjustable preload and rebound. For braking, it uses a 310 mm front disc with a Brembo four-piston caliper and a 240 mm rear disc with a ByBre caliper.

Rain, Road and Race riding modes come as standard. Other features include cornering ABS Pro, traction control, Dynamic Brake Control and engine drag torque control.

In addition, a 6.5-inch TFT display, heated grips, USB-C charging, connectivity and all-LED lighting come as standard. In addition, M Sport versions offer extra display information for track riding. Like the other bikes in the 450 series, the F 450 RR is made in India by TVS at its Hosur plant.
