The Indian two wheeler market has witnessed several exciting launches over the past two weeks, with leading brands introducing new motorcycles across different segments. Kawasaki launched the Z650 S with updated styling and a TFT display, while BMW introduced the F 450 GS Sport with improved suspension and advanced riding features.
Hero added more technology to the Xtreme 125R Stealth Edition with a TFT display and TPMS. Meanwhile, Ducati expanded its off road lineup with the Desmo450 EDX and MX Factory. These launches bring new designs, features and performance options for Indian motorcycle enthusiasts.

Hero MotoCorp has launched the Xtreme 125R Stealth Edition with TFT at Rs. 1,16,250 (ex showroom, Pan India). The updated motorcycle gets a new 4.2 inch TFT instrument display with Bluetooth connectivity, supporting turn by turn navigation, call and SMS alerts, and music control. Its biggest highlight is a segment first Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), which provides real time tyre pressure information and alerts. The new edition also features coloured alloy wheels and a Midnight Black colour scheme with Pearl Red accents.
Mechanically, the Xtreme 125R motorcycle continues with its existing powertrain and feature package. It retains dual channel ABS, three riding modes (Rain, Road and Sport), and cruise control. With the addition of a TFT display and TPMS, Hero aims to make the Xtreme 125R more technology focused while enhancing rider convenience and safety.

Kawasaki has launched the new Z650 S in India at Rs. 7.59 lakh (ex showroom), with deliveries already underway across the country. The motorcycle gets sharper Sugomi inspired styling, redesigned LED headlamps and tail lamps inspired by the larger Z900, muscular bodywork and a new 4.3 inch colour TFT display. It also offers smartphone connectivity through the RIDEOLOGY THE APP MOTORCYCLE application and Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC). A quick shifter is available as an optional accessory.
Mechanically, the Z650 S retains the 649cc parallel twin engine, producing 68 PS and 64 Nm, paired with a 6 speed gearbox. Its suspension setup also remains unchanged, while the motorcycle now weighs 193 kg, 5 kg more than the standard Z650. Interestingly, Kawasaki has reduced the brake disc sizes at both ends. Priced ₹33,000 higher than the standard Z650 (₹7.26 lakh), the new model focuses mainly on styling and feature upgrades rather than mechanical improvements.

BMW Motorrad India has launched the new F 450 GS Sport at Rs. 5.90 lakh (ex showroom), expanding its adventure motorcycle lineup. The new variant gets an exclusive Racing Red colour, Rallye windscreen, black hand protectors, off road footrests and a plastic engine guard. It also features Sport Suspension, Gear Shift Assistant Pro for clutchless gear changes and Riding Modes Pro for improved riding flexibility.
The motorcycle is powered by a 450cc twin cylinder engine producing 48 hp and 43 Nm of torque. Key features include a 6.5 inch TFT display, ABS Pro, Dynamic Traction Control, Dynamic Brake Control and Engine Drag Control. With its sporty styling, upgraded suspension and advanced electronic aids, the F 450 GS Sport aims to offer a combination of everyday usability and off road capability.

Ducati has launched the Desmo450 EDX and Desmo450 MX Factory in India on November 5, 2026, with prices starting at Rs. 18.55 lakh and Rs. 21.26 lakh (ex showroom), respectively. The EDX is designed for enduro and cross country riding, while the MX Factory targets competitive motocross riders. Both motorcycles are powered by a 449.6cc liquid cooled, single cylinder engine producing 63.5 hp and 53.5 Nm of torque. Their electronics package includes traction control, launch control, engine brake control, a bi directional quickshifter and multiple riding modes.
The Desmo450 EDX gets an 8.5 litre fuel tank, Showa suspension and Pirelli Scorpion XC tyres, while the MX Factory features a titanium Akrapovic exhaust, billet triple clamps, a holeshot device and fully adjustable 49mm Showa front forks. The Desmo450 MX Factory weighs 104 kg, while the EDX weighs 107.1 kg (both without fuel). Ducati has opened bookings across its Indian dealerships. Both motorcycles are specialised off road machines and require regular maintenance, including piston replacement and valve clearance inspections at around every 45 operating hours.
