Hero MotoCorp has introduced the new Xpulse 150, expanding its dual sport motorcycle lineup at EICMA 2026. The motorcycle brings a smaller engine than the existing Xpulse 200 and follows a classic dual sport design.
It gets a 150cc air cooled engine, long travel suspension and a 21 inch front wheel. The new motorcycle could appeal to riders seeking an affordable option for daily commuting and occasional off road riding. However, Hero has not announced its India launch timeline or pricing.
The new Hero Xpulse 150 uses a 150cc, single cylinder, air cooled engine. It produces 12.2bhp at 6,500rpm and 12.8Nm of peak torque at 5,500rpm.
The engine comes paired with a five speed gearbox. The motorcycle also gets a 21 inch front and 18 inch rear wheel combination. This setup is commonly associated with dual sport motorcycles and supports riding on uneven surfaces.
Interestingly, the motorcycle spotted in the images features a carburettor. This suggests the displayed version could target international markets, including South America and Africa.
An India spec version could get fuel injection and electronic throttle control. However, Hero has not confirmed these details yet.
The Hero Xpulse 150 follows a classic dual sport design with styling inspired by the larger Xpulse 200. It gets a similar fuel tank shape, larger tank shrouds and a front beak.
Key design and hardware highlights include:
The Hero bike also gets fork gaiters and a white and red colour combination. Its practical luggage rack could help riders carry small bags during daily commutes or weekend trips.
Hero has not confirmed the Xpulse 150's India launch date, availability or expected price. The company may introduce an India specific version with fuel injection.
If launched locally, it could sit below the existing Xpulse 200 in Hero's adventure motorcycle lineup. The Hero Xpulse 200 4V is a relevant comparison for buyers considering smaller dual sport motorcycles.
The Xpulse 150's final pricing and equipment will determine its position in the Indian market. Buyers will need to wait for Hero's official announcement before making a purchase decision.
