The past two weeks have brought several important updates from the two-wheeler industry, including new launches, feature upgrades, price revisions, and sales milestones. Royal Enfield introduced updates for the Classic 350 and a limited-edition Shotgun 650, while also increasing the prices of the Guerrilla 450. At the same time, electric brands like River and Ultraviolette reported strong growth, and Hero launched a new Vida VX2 variant with improved range.
In addition, global manufacturers like Suzuki and BMW revealed new colour updates for their flagship superbikes. Overall, the bi-weekly update highlights a mix of practical upgrades, premium launches, and growing momentum in the electric two-wheeler segment.

Royal Enfield has launched the 2026 Classic 350 with useful new features, including an assist and slipper clutch and a USB Type-C charging port. These updates make daily riding easier by reducing clutch effort and allowing riders to charge devices on the go. The Royal Enfield bike starts at Rs. 1.87 lakh (ex-showroom) and comes in nine colour options, with these features available in dual-channel variants.
However, the engine and overall design remain unchanged. It continues with the same 349cc engine producing 20.2 bhp and 27 Nm. While the classic styling and hardware stay familiar, these small additions improve comfort and convenience, making the bike more useful for everyday use.

Royal Enfield has launched a special Shotgun 650 x Rough Crafts edition at Rs. 5.75 lakh (ex-showroom). This model is highly exclusive, with only 100 units worldwide and just 25 units for India. Inspired by the ‘Caliber Royale’ custom bike, Shotgun 650 features a unique design with black paint, gold detailing, a brass badge, and premium elements like a quilted seat and gold-finished forks. Bookings are open, and sales in India will begin on 30 July.
However, the bike remains mechanically unchanged and continues with the same 648cc engine. This edition mainly targets collectors, as it offers added exclusivity, special design touches, and a signed artwork, making it a premium and rare offering.

Royal Enfield has increased the prices of the Guerrilla 450 in India by up to Rs. 2,044, depending on the variant. The hike applies to all colour options, with Brava Blue seeing the highest increase. However, the company has not given any reason for the price revision, and the overall change remains quite small.
Apart from the new pricing, the bike stays unchanged in terms of engine, features, and design. It continues with the same 452cc engine, modern TFT display, and strong roadster styling. While buyers will now pay slightly more, the Guerrilla 450 still offers the same performance and features as before.

River Indie recorded its highest-ever monthly sales in June 2026 with 4,436 units, surpassing its previous record. The Bengaluru-based EV startup has now sold over 43,800 units since launch and continues to see strong growth in 2026, with over 23,700 units sold in just the first half of the year. This momentum has also helped River scooters rank among the top electric two-wheeler makers in India.
The scooter remains popular for its practical design, especially its large 43-litre storage and comfortable riding setup. While it focuses more on utility than features, rising demand and future expansion plans, including new models, could further boost the brand’s growth in the EV market.

Ultraviolette Automotive plans strong growth by targeting 1,000 monthly sales by the end of 2026, up from its current 600 units. The company is also preparing for an IPO and new product launches, including its first electric scooter, the Tesseract, which has already received over 80,000 bookings ahead of its 2027 launch.
To support this demand, Ultraviolette will expand its production capacity to 1.5 lakh units annually and increase its retail network to around 100 outlets. With rising demand, global presence, and upcoming models, the company aims to strengthen its position in both the Indian and international EV markets.

Hero has launched the Vida VX2 Plus 4.4kWh variant in India at Rs. 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom), offering a higher claimed range of 187 km. The electric scooter uses dual removable batteries and now comes with a faster 1kW charger, improving charging time and daily usability. It also gets a slightly higher top speed of 90 kmph, along with multiple riding modes.
Apart from the battery upgrade, the scooter remains unchanged in design and performance. However, the added range and quicker charging make it a more useful option for daily commuting, especially for riders who want fewer charging breaks.

This shade is available only with the M Sport variant and adds a race-inspired appeal, along with lighter forged wheels for better style and performance. However, there are no changes to the engine or overall performance.
