Bi-Weekly Two-Wheeler News Report: New Launches, Updates and Price Changes

The past two weeks brought several important updates in the Indian two-wheeler market. Major brands introduced new models, updated existing motorcycles and scooters, added new features, and revised prices across different segments.

From new Pulsar models and Royal Enfield editions to updated Yamaha scooters, the upcoming Simple Wave and Ather Konarc, the period saw a mix of launches, technology upgrades, and new products.

2026 Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 Gets New Updates

Royal Enfield has launched the updated Continental GT 650 in India, with prices ranging from Rs. 3.58 lakh to Rs. 3.88 lakh (ex-showroom). The Royal Enfield bike keeps its 648cc parallel-twin engine, producing 47.4 PS and 52.3 Nm, along with the same main hardware.

The update brings new styling details, LED indicators, a Type-C USB charger, and fresh colour options. The Rocker Red variant now gets a blacked-out engine, exhaust, and alloy wheels, while buyers can also choose between wire-spoke and cast alloy wheel options.

Royal Enfield Classic 350 Gorkha Edition Launched

Royal Enfield has also launched the Classic 350 Gorkha Edition in India at Rs. 2.11 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings are now open, and the special edition gets a Gorkha Green colour and a crossed Khukris insignia inspired by the Gorkha Regiment.

The Classic 350 bike retains the 349cc J-Series engine, producing 20.1 bhp and 27 Nm, along with a five-speed gearbox. It also gets an assist and slipper clutch and Type-C USB charging. Alongside the motorcycle, Royal Enfield has introduced a matching Gorkha-themed riding gear collection.

Yamaha Fascino and RayZR Get New Colours and TFT Screen

Yamaha just updated the Fascino 125 and RayZR 125 Hybrid for 2026 with new colour options and technology upgrades. The top variants now get a TFT instrument screen with turn-by-turn navigation, adding more convenience for daily riders.

These Yamaha scooters continue with the same 125cc engine, producing 8 bhp and 10.3 Nm. Prices range from Rs. 78,980 to Rs. 99,030 for the Fascino and Rs. 79,880 to Rs. 1.00 lakh for the RayZR (ex-showroom). Other features and the overall mechanical setup remain unchanged.

Harley-Davidson X440 Gets Price Hike

The Harley Davidson X440 price has been increased by up to Rs. 2,000 in India. The S variant now costs Rs. 2.60 lakh, while the T variant is priced at Rs. 2.86 lakh (ex-showroom).

The motorcycle continues with its 440cc engine, producing 27 bhp and 38 Nm, with no mechanical or feature changes. This is the second price hike for the X440 this year, following an earlier increase of up to Rs. 5,000.

Simple Wave Details Revealed Ahead of Launch

Simple Energy has revealed details about its upcoming Wave electric scooter, which will launch on September 2, 2026. It will sit below the Simple One and target family buyers looking for an affordable scooter for daily use.

The Wave will feature a larger seat, wider floorboard, telescopic front fork, and twin rear shock absorbers. Simple Energy is also expanding its dealership network from around 75 outlets to 150-200 by the end of the financial year.

Ather Konarc Confirmed With Metal Body Panels

Ather has confirmed that its upcoming Konarc family electric scooter will use metal body panels. The confirmation came through a social media video showing the company CEO using magnets on one of the panels.

The Konarc will use Ather’s new EL01 platform and focus on comfort, convenience, and everyday family riding instead of sporty performance. It will launch on August 29 in Bengaluru, with its price and full specifications expected at the event.

New Bajaj Pulsar 125 & 150 Launch on August 24

Bajaj Auto is set to launch the new Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150 on August 24. Both bikes will get major updates, including a new frame, sharper design, monoshock suspension, and updated engines.

The Bajaj motorcycles are also expected to get new LED lighting, upgraded displays, and a 5 inch TFT screen on higher variants, with features such as Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. Bajaj will reveal the prices and complete specifications at the launch.
