TVS Jupiter Crosses 9 Million Sales, 1.46M in FY2026

In FY2026, TVS Jupiter has achieved a significant milestone with its highest sales. The scooter has delivered 1.46 million units in the financial year, its best annual sales. And, its overall sales have now surpassed 9 million units since its launch in 2013. Such popularity indicates its popularity among the masses of two-wheelers commuters across India.

Record Sales Performance in FY2026

The TVS Motor Company reported that the Jupiter achieved its best ever yearly sales in FY2026. The scooter recorded total sales of 14,63,328 units, showing a strong 32 percent growth over FY2025. Moreover, it added more than 3.5 lakh extra units compared to last year. Therefore, the Jupiter continues to remain the brand’s top selling two wheeler.
In addition, the scooter maintained an average daily sales of over 4,000 units during the year. The sales pace remained fast, with the last one million units sold in just eight months. However, earlier milestones took longer, showing a clear rise in demand during recent years.

Strong Contribution to TVS Scooter Sales

The Jupiter has played a major role in TVS scooter growth over the years. Out of total scooter sales of 14.40 million units since FY2014, Jupiter alone contributes over 9 million units. Therefore, it holds a strong share of more than 62 percent in total scooter sales.

In FY2026, its share increased further to 64 percent of total scooter sales. Moreover, TVS recorded 2.30 million scooter sales during the same period. Hence, Jupiter remains the main contributor to the company’s strong market performance.

113cc and 125cc Variants Support Growth

The Jupiter is available in two variants, which are the 113cc and 125cc engines, catering to the demands of different customers. The 113cc variant provides adequate power delivery along with fuel economy for commuting in cities. It has the ability to deliver up to 7.91 bhp power output along with a maximum speed of 82 km/h.

The other variant that was released in 2021 offers improved power delivery along with added functionalities. It delivers power output of 8.04 bhp and can provide a maximum speed of 95 km/h. Additionally, its riding distance can reach up to 240 to 275 km.

Market Position and Competition

The Jupiter continues to hold the second position in India’s scooter market. It remains a close competitor to the Honda Activa, which leads the segment. However, Jupiter’s steady growth has helped TVS increase its market share over time.

TVS scooter market share reached 28 percent in FY2026, showing strong overall growth. Moreover, this increase is supported by steady demand for Jupiter and NTorq models. Therefore, the company continues to strengthen its position in the scooter segment.

Future Outlook for Jupiter

The current sales trend suggests that Jupiter may reach the 10 million milestone soon. At the present pace, the next one million sales could be achieved within eight months. Hence, the scooter is likely to cross the 1 crore mark before the end of 2026.

This consistent growth shows strong buyer demand across different segments. Moreover, the combination of performance, mileage, & features continues to attract a wide range of users in India.
