River Indie Records Highest Ever Monthly Sales in June 2026

The River Indie has achieved its highest monthly sales since launch by recording 4,436 retail units in June 2026. This is higher than its previous record of 4,273 units, which was achieved in March 2026. In addition, the Bengaluru based EV startup has now sold 43,805 units of the Indie since its launch in October 2023. This strong performance has also helped River Mobility move to the seventh position among electric two wheeler manufacturers in India.

River Indie Sales Continue to Grow

River Mobility has witnessed steady growth over the last few years. The company sold 17,020 River Indie scooters in 2025, making it one of the fastest growing electric scooter brands in the country. However, the growth has become even stronger in 2026.

During the first quarter of 2026, River delivered 9,607 units. In addition, the company recorded 11,776 units in the second quarter. As a result, total sales during the first six months of 2026 reached 23,722 units, which already account for 54% of the scooter's lifetime sales.

River Mobility Targets Bigger Milestones

The latest sales figures show that River Mobility is expanding at a healthy pace. Perhaps the company could cross 50,000 annual sales for the first time if the current momentum continues throughout the year. This achievement would further strengthen its position in India's growing electric two wheeler market.

River Indie Offers Space and Everyday Comfort

The River Electric Scooter is currently priced at Rs. 1.52 lakh (ex showroom) in Delhi. It competes with models such as the TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, and Ather Rizta. However, the River Indie focuses more on comfort and utility than offering an extensive list of features.

One of its biggest highlights is the 43 litre underseat storage, which is currently the largest available on any electric scooter sold in India. In addition, the scooter offers a spacious riding position that suits everyday commuting.

River Mobility manufactures the Indie and the Yamaha EC 06 at its Hoskote, Karnataka facility, which has an annual production capacity of 1,20,000 units. Furthermore, the company is also evaluating a second manufacturing plant as it prepares to introduce two new models in the first quarter of 2027. With rising sales and future expansion plans, River Mobility appears well positioned for continued growth in the Indian EV market.
