Triumph Scrambler 400 X

The 2026 Triumph Scrambler 400 X now comes with a smaller 350cc engine. Triumph made this change mainly because of updated GST rules in India. As a result, the motorcycle now attracts lower taxes and becomes more affordable.

Thankfully, Triumph hasn’t changed the motorcycle’s core personality. It still looks rugged, premium, and properly built for adventure riding. Additionally, the comfortable ergonomics and refined engine continue making long rides enjoyable.

However, the smaller engine has reduced the bike’s punchy mid-range performance slightly. The older 398cc motor felt stronger during quick overtakes and highway acceleration. Still, most new riders may barely notice the difference.

The Scrambler 400 X remains a capable all-round motorcycle. It handles city traffic confidently and enjoys weekend rides equally well. Moreover, the comfortable suspension and predictable handling make it beginner-friendly too.

However, the older 398cc engine definitely felt more exciting and punchy during aggressive riding. The new 349cc motor focuses more on efficiency and affordability instead. So, the new Scrambler 400 X still delivers a very enjoyable riding experience overall.
