
The scrambler segment in India is getting more exciting nowadays as the brands bring updated models with better performance & features. The comparison between Yezdi Scrambler & Triumph Scrambler 400 X highlights two very different approaches in the same category.
One focuses on affordability & easy riding, while the other leans towards premium build & performance. With both bikes now updated for 2026, buyers are curious to know which model offers better value, stronger performance, & more usable features.
The recent change has rendered this comparison all the more entertaining to Indian buyers. It now receives a better refinement, new ride modes & a lighter chassis to handle better.
Meanwhile, the Triumph Scrambler 400 X remains on the scene with more performance figures and a high-end hardware. Yezdi employs traditional telescopic front forks and twin rear shocks. While the Triumph remains steady over high speed bumps, the Yezdi’s lower mass of 174 kg (versus Triumph’s 185 kg) makes it easier to control in soft sand or mud.

Yezdi has updated its 2026 model with side panels & a high exhaust that follows traditional design cues. It is available in colors such as Rogue Red and Rally Blue. Triumph keeps its recognized shape, featuring high quality finishes and a split seat layout. The Yezdi appears ready for difficult terrain, whereas the Triumph maintains a more formal appearance.

Both motorcycles include dual channel ABS as a standard feature. However, the Triumph includes switchable traction control and a specific setting that permits the rider to slide the rear wheel. The Yezdi also features riding modes & a digital display. Triumph’s electronic throttle provides a steady feeling that technical riders may prefer.

One of the primary differences between these two motorcycles is going to be the cost. The 2026 Yezdi Scrambler is the more economical choice, starting at approximately ₹2 - 2.09 Lakh (ex-showroom). The Triumph Scrambler 400 X requires a larger investment at ₹2.59 Lakh. If you seek a capable machine that allows for personal modifications, Yezdi offers value; if you desire a premium feel, then the Triumph bike justifies its cost quite easily.
