Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 Expert Opinion

“Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 is a stylish, laid-back cruiser with loads of personality. It’s based on the Classic 350 but brings a fresh, retro-bobber vibe. The ride feels smooth, and the seating is super relaxed. Yes, the rear suspension is a bit firm and brakes could improve, but overall, it’s a great pick for weekend rides and easy highway cruising.”

4/5

Royal Enfield has launched many new motorcycles recently, both fresh and based on existing models. The Goan Classic 350 falls into the second category with a unique twist on the Classic 350. This bobber-style motorcycle reflects the calm and relaxed vibe of Goa beautifully. Royal Enfield has captured that vibe well in the bike’s design and performance.

Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 - Overview

We spent a day riding the Goan Classic 350 through the sunny, narrow roads of Madgaon (Goa). We explored everything from beachside streets to a quick freeway run, and here's how it all went down.

4.5/5

  • The Goan Classic 350 looks stunning. It blends retro style with modern touches that feel fresh.
  • During our ride, the circular headlamp and teardrop tank caught a lot of attention. They look classic. Moreover, the slash-cut exhaust sounds good. It also adds a nice touch to the overall design.

Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 - Exhaust

  • You can choose from four paint options, including Purple Haze, Rave Red, Shack Black, and Trip Teal. We personally like the Purple Haze version, which we rode under the sun. It looked cool and bold.
  • One highlight is the white-wall tyres with body-coloured rims. They really stand out on the road. We noticed people were checking out the wheels because they looked like a customisation.

Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 - Headlight

  • The ape-hanger handlebars give a true bobber look. They also feel natural once you start riding. Even in Goa’s narrow lanes, the high handlebars felt easy to manage. We got used to it quickly.
  • The floating cantilever seat is just 750mm tall. So, the shorter riders will find it easy to get on.
  • The seat looks stylish and feels comfy. On short city rides, it gave a relaxed cruiser vibe.
  • We really liked the brushed aluminium and chrome finish, which adds a premium feel.
  • The switchgear is borrowed from the 650cc models. It felt solid and smooth while riding through traffic.
  • While parked near the beach, the bike’s overall finish stood out. Every part felt well-built and premium.

Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 - Tail light

  • Besides, one cool detail is the articulated rear fender. It moves with the wheel while riding. It’s a small thing, but on rough roads, you notice how smooth and unique it feels.

4.5/5

  • The Goan Classic 350 uses the same 349cc, air and oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine as the Classic 350. It produces 20.2 bhp at 6,100 rpm and 27 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm.

Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 - Engine

  • We rode the bike through Madgaon’s winding streets and open stretches, and the engine felt smooth, torquey, and super relaxed.
  • The five-speed gearbox is slick, and the toe-and-heel shifter gives satisfying clicks with every shift. It just feels well put-together.
  • The bike moves smoothly even in higher gears. So, you don’t need to downshift often in city traffic. Also, there’s enough torque available when you need it. The bike pulls well at low speeds without struggle.
  • On the highway, the Goan Classic cruises comfortably at around 80–90 kmph. Go past that, and the performance dips with vibrations starting to creep in.
  • The new exhaust note is worth mentioning, it’s got a nice burble, especially on downshifts.

Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 - Suspension

5/5

  • The riding posture feels super relaxed. Tall handlebars and forward footpegs give a proper cruiser feel. As soon as we rolled off the stand, it felt like a peaceful Sunday ride.
  • We thought the high bars would be tricky in traffic, but it was surprisingly easy. Within five minutes, the riding position felt natural, even while turning through tight and narrow lanes.
  • Counter-steering at higher speeds works great. Despite its 197kg weight, the bike never feels heavy. While cruising past beach roads, it stayed planted and balanced.
  • The suspension setup is similar to the Classic 350. It gets front telescopic forks and twin rear shocks. On smooth roads, the front suspension felt stable and handled speed bumps without any sharp jolts.

Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 - Front Suspension

  • However, the rear shocks feel a bit stiff. On flyovers and broken roads, it got bouncy. We rode over a rough patch, and the rear sent small jolts to our backs.
  • On long rides, this might get tiring. The comfort takes a hit over uneven surfaces.
  • The rider’s seat is wide and well-cushioned. Even during a 45-minute city ride, it felt great.
  • The pillion seat, which can be added as an accessory, is small and not very spacious. But for short city rides, it works fine and on long rides, it may feel uncomfortable.
  • The grab rails are well-placed and easy to hold. Your passenger will feel safe during quick rides.

Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 - Fuel tank

4/5

  • The semi-digital console looks familiar and easy to read. It has an analogue speedo and tacho. The small LCD shows trip, gear position, and odometer clearly while riding.

Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 - Console

  • Everything was placed neatly and felt intuitive during the ride. The bike also supports Royal Enfield’s Tripper Navigation as an accessory. You can connect your phone and get turn-by-turn directions, call alerts, and messages while riding.
  • We tested the navigation in Madgaon. It helped us find a beach cafe without stopping once. This feature is very useful when riding unfamiliar roads.
  • Dual-channel ABS comes standard and gives a good sense of safety on slippery roads. The braking is smooth, but we felt the feedback could be sharper at higher speeds.
  • During a quick freeway ride, the brakes took a bit longer than expected to react.

Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 - Brake

  • The bike gets cross-spoke wheels with tubeless tyres, which is great for both style and practicality. They look vintage and save you the hassle of fixing tube punctures.

Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 - Tyre

  • The CEAT Zoom Classic tyres are specially made for this bike and offer solid grip. The 19-inch front and 16-inch rear wheels add to the classic bobber style.
  • Furthermore, the size difference also helped maintain balance through turns and tight corners.

4.5/5

  • The handlebar and seat setup naturally put us in a relaxed, confident posture during the ride. Even after an hour, our shoulders didn’t complain.
  • One of us, over 6 feet tall, felt right at home. The footpegs and bar height felt just right.

Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 - Foorpegs

  • The pillion seat blends into the design, but you’ll probably want more width for longer trips.
  • The grab rails are neatly tucked in and easy to reach. Your passenger won’t have to search for support.

4/5

If you enjoy stylish rides and relaxed cruising, this bike will suit you well. The Goan Classic 350 feels like an extension of your personality and has loads of unique character. It’s bold, well-built, and full of charm.

Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350

At Rs 2.37–2.40 lakh (ex-showroom), it’s the priciest Royal Enfield 350cc bike. But you’re getting the best-looking and most premium version of the platform yet. Yes, it’s not cheap, but the design and finish make it worth the price.
