India's motorcycle market maintained steady growth in May 2026. The top 10 motorcycles together recorded sales of 9,02,658 units during the month. This marks a growth of 1.94% compared to 8,85,467 units sold in May 2025. While commuter motorcycles continued to dominate overall volumes, premium models such as the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and Bullet 350 also witnessed healthy demand.
As a result, the motorcycle segment remained one of the strongest contributors to India's two-wheeler market.
Hero Splendor once again secured the top position in the sales chart. The motorcycle recorded sales of 3,48,115 units in May 2026, and this represents a 12.17% increase.
Moreover, Splendor alone accounted for 38.57% of the total sales generated by the top 10 motorcycles. Honda Shine followed in second place with sales of 1,55,441 units. However, the motorcycle witnessed a slight decline of 1.79% compared to the same period last year.

Bajaj Pulsar secured the third position with sales of 1,24,270 units. The popular motorcycle range registered a growth of 1.73% over May 2025. Among Bajaj Bikes, the Pulsar lineup continues to attract riders looking for sporty styling and everyday practicality.
Meanwhile, TVS Apache maintained its positive momentum. The motorcycle sold 53,900 units and posted a healthy growth of 9.78%. In addition, Honda CB Unicorn recorded sales of 34,925 units, reflecting a strong growth of 22.05%.
Hero HF Deluxe remained the fourth best-selling motorcycle despite a significant drop in sales. The model sold 66,722 units, which is 38.09% lower than the figures recorded in May 2025.
On the other hand, Royal Enfield motorcycles continued to perform well. The Classic 350 recorded sales of 34,594 units and registered a growth of 20.84%. Furthermore, the Bullet 350 emerged as one of the fastest-growing motorcycles in the list with sales of 23,372 units and a growth of 35.26%.
TVS Raider recorded sales of 34,852 units during the month. However, the motorcycle witnessed a small decline of 1.55%. Similarly, Bajaj Platina reported sales of 26,467 units and registered a decline of 5.20%.
Even so, both motorcycles remained among the country's top-selling commuter bikes.
Motorcycles continue to hold the largest share in India's two-wheeler industry. The segment recorded sales of 11,13,973 units in May 2026 and accounted for 58.56% of the overall market.
While commuter motorcycles continue to generate the highest volumes, premium offerings are gradually expanding their presence. Therefore, the latest sales figures show that Indian buyers are increasingly exploring both practical and premium motorcycle options.
