Bajaj Dominar 400 Expert Opinion

“The new Bajaj Dominar 400 feels smarter and more practical than before. Bajaj reduced the engine size cleverly to lower ownership costs. The bike still keeps its strong touring personality alive. Moreover, it remains stable, comfortable, and feature-loaded for highway riders. However, the heavyweight and dated dynamics still hold it back slightly.”

5/5

The new Bajaj Dominar 400 brings a major change under the skin. Bajaj replaced the older 373cc engine with a new 349cc motor. This move helps the bike qualify for lower GST taxation benefits in India. As a result, Bajaj reduced the bike’s price by nearly Rs 37,000.

Interestingly, Bajaj kept the Dominar 400 name despite the smaller engine size. Thankfully, the motorcycle still offers similar touring performance and highway comfort. Moreover, the latest model now gets ride-by-wire technology, riding modes, traction control, and a modern LCD display.

The Dominar still feels muscular, premium, and planted on highways. However, rivals now feel lighter, sharper, and more modern overall. Let’s know more about this model in detail.

4/5

The new Bajaj Dominar 400 feels like a smarter and more practical Dominar than before. Bajaj cleverly reduced the engine size to make the motorcycle significantly more affordable. The bike still retains its strong highway touring abilities and premium road presence.

However, the heavyweight and slightly outdated handling still remain concerns. Still, riders wanting a value-packed touring motorcycle will genuinely appreciate this new Dominar 400.

    High-Speed Highway Monster

This machine just eats open tarmac for breakfast. Heavy stability means zero wind-blast vibration when cruising at triple-digit speeds. The LED headlight cuts through pitch-black country roads cleanly. It is noticeably heavy to park in tight spots, but the sheer performance easily makes up for it.

    The Tech-Savvy Highway Cruiser

I bought the updated Dominar 400 specifically for my weekend long getaways. The Bluetooth connectivity support is an absolute game changer which navigates directly on the dashboard. I don't have to keep staring at a phone mount. Also, the punchy LED headlights light up dark, unlit highways like absolute daylight, making night touring feel incredibly safe. It's the ultimate bike for exploring new places without any stress.
