The Indian motorcycle market recorded strong growth in July 2026, with the top 10 motorcycles selling a combined 6,87,279 units. In comparison, these motorcycles sold 5,70,769 units in July 2025. This means the segment recorded a 20.41% year-on-year growth.
Among the top performers, the Hero Splendor continued to lead the list by a large margin. In addition, the Shine, Apache, Classic 350, Raider and Bullet 350 also recorded positive growth. However, some popular motorcycles, including the Pulsar and HF Deluxe, saw a decline in sales.

The Hero Splendor remained the best-selling motorcycle in July 2026, with 3,35,346 units sold. It recorded a strong 35.92% YoY growth, compared to 2,46,715 units in July 2025.
With these sales, this Hero bike accounted for 48.79% of the total sales among the top 10 motorcycles. Therefore, almost half of the motorcycles sold in this list came from the Splendor range.
Perhaps its strong sales continue to come from its popularity among daily commuters. The motorcycle also remains a common choice for buyers looking for an affordable commuter bike.
The Honda Shine secured second place with 1,91,950 units sold in July 2026. It recorded a 20.23% YoY growth compared to 1,59,658 units in the same month last year.
The Honda motorcycle also held a 27.93% share among the top 10 motorcycles. Together, the Splendor and Shine accounted for more than three-fourths of the total sales in this list.
The TVS Apache recorded one of the strongest performances in July 2026. It sold 59,404 units, compared to 37,566 units in July 2025. As a result, its sales increased by 58.13% YoY.
The Apache also recorded an 8.64% share in the top 10 list. In addition, the motorcycle moved ahead of the Pulsar in monthly sales.
The Royal Enfield Classic 350 also performed well, with 39,197 units sold. Its sales increased by 47.82% compared to 26,516 units in July 2025.
The TVS Raider recorded 34,125 units in July 2026, up from 24,511 units last year. This represents a 39.22% YoY growth.
Meanwhile, the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 recorded the highest growth rate in the list. It sold 26,245 units, compared to 15,847 units in July 2025. This resulted in a 65.61% YoY growth.
Therefore, the Bullet 350 saw stronger growth than every other motorcycle in the top 10 list.
Not every motorcycle saw positive growth in July 2026. The Bajaj Pulsar recorded 66,156 units, down from 79,817 units last year. Its sales declined by 17.12%.
The Hero HF Deluxe also recorded a decline. It sold 55,978 units compared to 71,477 units in July 2025, marking a 21.68% drop.
In addition, the Bajaj Platina recorded a smaller decline of 6.81%, with 27,421 units sold compared to 29,424 units last year.
Overall, the top 10 motorcycles recorded 20.41% growth in July 2026. The Splendor remained far ahead of its rivals, while the Shine continued to hold the second position.
Moreover, strong growth from the Apache, Classic 350, Raider and Bullet 350 helped lift the overall numbers. However, the decline in Pulsar, HF Deluxe and Platina sales shows that performance varied across models.
With commuter and premium motorcycles both showing strong demand, the Indian motorcycle market continued its positive trend in July 2026.
