The upcoming Triumph Bonneville 400 has been spotted testing overseas, giving a closer look at its design & features. At first sight, the motorcycle carries a strong resemblance to the Triumph Bonneville T100. Therefore, it continues the brand’s classic styling approach with a simple yet clean design. However, reports suggest that the India version may receive a smaller engine option. The bike is expected to arrive in the Indian market by June 2026.

Classic Design Inspired by Bigger Bonneville Models

Triumph Bonneville 400

The test mule shows a traditional design with a teardrop fuel tank & long fenders. Moreover, the side panels appear simple, adding to the clean overall look of the motorcycle. In addition, modern elements such as a round LED headlight and LED indicators are visible. The rear section also gets an LED taillight, keeping the design updated. Therefore, the triumph bike manages to combine old school styling with necessary modern touches.

Simple Suspension and Comfortable Riding Posture

The upcoming model uses basic suspension components to control costs and maintain comfort levels. It gets telescopic front forks with gaiters and twin rear shock absorbers. Moreover, this setup should offer a stable and comfortable riding experience on daily roads. The riding position appears relaxed, with centre set footpegs and a slightly raised handlebar. Hence, it should suit both city rides and longer journeys without much strain.

Engine Options and Expected Changes for India

Globally, the motorcycle is expected to use the same engine seen on the Triumph Speed 400 & Triumph Scrambler 400 X. This unit produces around 40PS and 37Nm, offering balanced performance. However, for India, the company may introduce a smaller 350cc engine. Therefore, this change could help manage pricing after the GST updates.

Launch Timeline, Price and Rivals

According to reports, Triumph Bonneville 400 will come into the Indian market by June 2026. Its price might be close to Rs 1.85 lakh, excluding tax. Furthermore, it will go against some of the popular bikes like Royal Enfield Classic 350, Royal Enfield Bullet 350, Honda CB350 H’ness, & Jawa 350.
