Triumph has launched the 2027 Tiger 1200 range in India, with prices starting at Rs. 20.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The updated adventure motorcycle comes in two variants: GT Pro and Rally Explorer, priced at Rs. 20.99 lakh and Rs. 23.49 lakh, respectively. This update brings more engine power, revised hardware and new technology. In addition, Triumph has added rider assistance features to improve safety and make long-distance journeys more comfortable.

The 2027 Triumph Tiger 1200 continues to use a 1,160cc, liquid-cooled, three-cylinder engine. However, Triumph has made changes to the engine internals and gearing to increase power. The engine now produces 158 PS at 9,250 rpm, which is 8 PS more than the previous model. Torque remains unchanged at 130 Nm.
These changes aim to deliver stronger performance during highway rides and adventure trips. Moreover, the three-cylinder engine offers a mix of power and smooth performance for riders who enjoy long journeys.
Triumph has revised the chassis of the Tiger 1200 to support its touring and adventure riding needs. The motorcycle gets a 19-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel. In addition, semi-active Showa EERA Heightflex suspension offers 200mm of travel at both ends, helping the bike handle different road surfaces.
For braking, this Triumph bike gets twin front discs with Brembo Stylema callipers and a single rear disc. One of its key features is automatic ride-height adjustment. This system lowers the seat by 30mm when the motorcycle comes to a stop, making it easier to manage in traffic and tight spaces.
Furthermore, riders can use the two-position seat adjustment or an optional low seat to reduce the seat height to 790mm.

The 2027 Tiger 1200 gets a 7-inch touch-enabled TFT display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. It also features a waterproof phone compartment on top of the fuel tank, with airflow channels to help cool the phone. A Type-C charging port allows riders to charge their devices during journeys.
In addition, a Bosch radar-based system supports blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning and emergency brake assist. The motorcycle also features cornering ABS and traction control for added rider support. A bidirectional quickshifter allows riders to shift up and down without using the clutch.
The GT Pro suits riders who mainly travel on roads, as it gets road-focused alloy wheels and a 20-litre fuel tank. On the other hand, the Rally Explorer targets riders who want to explore off-road routes. It comes with tubeless spoke wheels and a larger 30-litre fuel tank, which can help reduce fuel stops on long trips.
The Rally Explorer also gets additional riding modes, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and engine protection as standard. However, it weighs 268kg, while the GT Pro weighs 250kg (kerb). Therefore, riders can choose between the GT Pro's road-focused setup and the Rally Explorer's extra touring range and off-road equipment.
