India’s two-wheeler market showed steady growth in May 2026. According to the latest data, total sales of the top 10 models reached 12,68,886 units, marking a 7.84% increase compared to May 2025.

This growth highlights consistent demand for commuter bikes and scooters across the country. In addition, popular models from Hero, Honda, and TVS continue to dominate the market.

May 2026 Sales Show Stable Demand

Two-wheeler sales remained strong in May 2026, supported by better rural demand and steady urban purchases.

Compared to May 2025, most models recorded positive growth, while a few saw a decline due to changing customer preferences and competition.

Hero Splendor Continues to Lead

Hero Splendor remained the best-selling two-wheeler with 3,48,115 units sold in May 2026. This marks a 12.17% YoY growth and a strong 27.43% market share.

Honda Activa secured the second position with 2,28,955 units, growing 20.05% YoY and holding an 18.04% share.

Honda Shine and TVS Jupiter Follow

Honda Shine recorded 1,55,441 units but saw a slight decline of 1.79% YoY. Meanwhile, TVS Jupiter posted strong growth of 27.83%, with 1,24,767 units sold, showing rising demand in the scooter segment.

Pulsar and Access Maintain Steady Numbers

Bajaj Pulsar recorded 1,24,270 unit sales, showing a modest 1.73% growth. While Suzuki Access reported 75,729 units, with almost flat performance compared to last year.

HF Deluxe Sees Decline, Apache Grows

Hero HF Deluxe saw a major drop of 38.09%, selling 66,722 units. On the other hand, TVS Apache registered a 9.78% growth with 53,900 units sold.

TVS XL and iQube Show Strong Growth

TVS XL recorded 48,569 units, growing 30.34% YoY. TVS iQube, the only electric scooter in the list, saw a strong 52.64% growth, with 42,192 units sold.

Market Trend and Outlook

Overall, the two-wheeler market continues to grow steadily. While commuter bikes still lead in volumes, scooters and electric models are gaining popularity. Therefore, the May 2026 data shows a balanced market with both traditional and electric two-wheelers contributing to growth.
