Triumph Thruxton 400 Spotted Again: Coming Soon or Not?

Triumph is testing its upcoming cafe racer, the Thruxton 400, on public roads. The bike looks almost ready for production. It has been seen multiple times, which gives us a clear idea of its design. Triumph plans to launch it soon, likely in early 2025. The Thruxton 400 will sit between the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X. Moreover, its price is expected to be around ₹2.50 lakh (ex-showroom).

Triumph is expected to launch the Thruxton 400 in early 2025. The bike is likely to be priced at around Rs. 2.50 lakh. Moreover, it will compete with the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 in the café racer segment. Let’s know more about this upcoming bike.

Retro-Inspired Design
Triumph Thruxton 400

The Thruxton 400 takes styling cues from the discontinued Thruxton 1200. It features a half-fairing with a round LED headlight and a small windscreen. Moreover, the clip-on handlebars, bar-end mirrors, and sculpted fuel tank enhance its classic café racer look. The rear section gets a small tail lamp and a new grab rail. This design makes it stand out from the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X.

Powerful Engine and Features

It shares the same 398cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine of the Speed 400. This gives it a power of 40PS and 37.5Nm of torque, which is mated to a six-speed gearbox. It also gets a slip-and-assist clutch and ride-by-wire throttle for a silky-smooth ride. The semi-digital instrument cluster has an analogue speedometer and an LCD screen. This also shows the fuel level, trip meters, gear position, and mileage. It also has traction control and dual-channel ABS for safety.

It will share the frame with the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X. The bike features a 43mm upside-down fork up front and a monoshock at the back. The motorcycle is also supported by 17-inch alloy wheels, which guarantee stability and handling. The Thruxton 400 also gets a 300mm front disc with a radial calliper and a 230mm rear disc. This arrangement should deliver an even and confidence-inspiring ride.
