Kawasaki India has launched the 2027 KLX230 in the country. The new model comes at a price of Rs. 2.19 lakh (ex-showroom). However, this makes it Rs. 35,000 more expensive than the earlier MY26 version.
In addition, the company has not shared the exact reason for this price increase. Perhaps the change comes due to rising costs or updates in production. Still, the bike remains almost the same as before.
The MY27 KLX230 looks very similar to the older model. It comes in the same two colours, Lime Green and Battle Grey. However, many riders may expect new graphics or styling updates to make it feel fresh.
In addition, the overall design stays simple and focused on off-road use. The bike continues to target riders who want a strong and reliable dual-sport motorcycle.
The KLX230 continues with the same 233cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine. This engine produces 18.7 bhp power and 19 Nm torque. In addition, it offers a smooth and steady performance for both city rides and off-road trails.
The Kawasaki bike uses a telescopic front fork and a rear monoshock suspension. It offers 220mm travel at the front and 223mm at the rear. Because of this, the bike handles rough roads and trails quite well.
However, the seat height is quite tall at 880mm. This may feel difficult for shorter riders. On the positive side, the bike remains light with a kerb weight of 139 kg, which helps in better control.
The KLX230 remains a good option for riders who want a road-legal off-road bike. In addition, it offers a simple and strong setup for adventure riding.
In conclusion, while the price has gone up, the bike stays mostly unchanged. Therefore, buyers may expect the same performance as before, but at a slightly higher cost.
