FADA Two-wheeler Sales Report September 2025 : Sales Increased by 6.51%

FADA (Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations) has announced its September 2025 sales report, which registered a YoY growth of 6.51% and a MoM decline of 6.26%.

In September 2025, the industry clocked in a total sales volume of 1,287,735 units, whereas in September 2024, the industry saw sales of 1,208,996 units. This resulted in a 6.51% growth in YoY growth. Moreover, a 6.26% decline in MoM sales is observed, as sales figures in August 2025 were 1,373,675 units.

2-Wheeler OEMs Sales Figures & Market Share in September 2025

  • Hero MotoCorp secured first place with 323,268 units sold in September 2025. This is an 18.93% incline from 271,820 units sold in September 2024. This translates to a market share growth of 11.66%.
  • Honda is the second top-selling two-wheeler manufacturer in September 2025 with total retail sales of 322,614 units. This marks a slight decline of 3.66% from 334,860 units in September 2024. The company's market share declined by 9.55%.
  • TVS registered a strong performance with 246,064 units sold in September 2025, compared to 222,029 units last year. This represents a YoY growth of 10.83% and an increase in market share of 4.05%.
  • Bajaj Auto sold 137,224 units in September 2025, down from 142,002 units in September 2024. Its market share dropped to 3.36%, signalling a dip in competitiveness or product demand compared to the previous year.
  • Royal Enfield sold 77,462 motorcycles in September 2025, improving on 58,653 units in September 2024. As a result, the sales increased by 32.07% and the market share increased to 23.99%, highlighting strong demand in the mid-size premium segment.
  • Suzuki recorded 77,342 unit sales in September 2025, showing a solid increase of 3.54% from 74,699 units in September 2024. However, the market share declined by 2.79%.
  • Yamaha sold 48,099 units in September 2025 compared to 50,265 in September 2024. Its market share dropped slightly by 10.16%, indicating a small contraction in its customer base or channel movement.
  • Ather Energy posted a strong performance with 18,141 units sold in September 2025, up from 12,925 units last year. Its sales jumped to 40.36%, making it one of the standout performers in the EV segment.
  • Ola Electric saw a significant drop in sales from 24,754 units in September 2024 to 13,383 units in September 2025. Consequently, its sales declined by 45.94%, reflecting weakened demand or strategic adjustments.
  • With 4,271 units sold in September 2025 compared to 2,779 units in September 2024, Greaves Electric experienced an increase of 53.69%. Its market share also increased by 44.29%.
  • Classic Legends sold 2,901 units in September 2025, compared to 2,178 units in September 2024. This shows an increase in sales by 33.20%.
  • Piaggio recorded a drop in retail sales, moving from 2,624 units in September 2024 to 2,530 units in September 2025. Its market share reduced to 9.48%, showing a slight decline in presence.
  • Bgauss maintained its position with 2,271 units sold in September 2025 compared to 1,237 units last year. Its sales increased by 83.59%.
  • PUR Energy experienced significant growth of 536.10%, selling 1,762 units in September 2025 versus just 277 units in September 2024. As a result, the company’s market share jumped to 497.21%, indicating rapid scale-up.
  • River Mobility saw a massive leap in sales from 302 units in September 2024 to 1,688 units in September 2025. This translates to a sales increase of 458.94% and a market share by 424.76%, positioning it as a rapidly emerging EV player.
  • The “Others Including EV” segment posted 8,715 unit sales in September 2025, up from 7,592 units in September 2024. Its market share increased slightly to 7.77%
