FADA (Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations) has released its December 2025 sales report, showing a YoY growth of 9.50% in the two-wheeler segment, driven by strong performances from both ICE and EV manufacturers.
In December 2025, total two-wheeler retail sales stood at 13,16,891 units, compared to 12,02,600 units in December 2024. This resulted in a YoY growth of 9.50%, indicating improved year-end demand supported by festive spillover, attractive offers, and EV traction. However, the MoM sales declined by 48.28% with 25,46,184 units being sold.

Honda emerged as the top-selling OEM in December 2025 with 3,56,128 units, compared to 3,17,403 units in December 2024. This translated into a YoY growth of 12.20%, supported by steady scooter demand and commuter motorcycle sales.
Hero MotoCorp recorded 2,90,813 units in December 2025, down from 3,29,152 units last year. The company witnessed a YoY decline of 11.65%, indicating pressure in the entry-level commuter space.
TVS delivered a strong performance with 2,65,707 units sold, compared to 2,13,751 units in December 2024. This marked a YoY growth of 24.31%, driven by motorcycles, scooters, and electric vehicle contributions.
Bajaj Auto retailed 1,38,012 units in December 2025 versus 1,39,532 units a year earlier. The brand reported a YoY decline of 1.09%, reflecting subdued demand in certain commuter and export-linked models.
Royal Enfield continued its growth momentum with 82,057 units, up from 55,234 units in December 2024. This resulted in an impressive 48.56% YoY growth, highlighting strong demand for its mid-capacity and new-generation motorcycles.
Suzuki sold 80,058 units in December 2025, compared to 63,138 units last year. The company achieved a YoY growth of 26.80%, supported by consistent scooter sales and urban commuter demand.
Yamaha registered 54,363 units, rising from 41,804 units in December 2024. This reflected a 30.04% YoY growth, indicating healthy traction for its sporty commuter and premium models.
Ather Energy posted 17,058 units in December 2025, compared to 10,532 units last year. The brand recorded a strong 61.96% YoY growth, driven by expanding EV adoption and improved retail reach.
Ola Electric reported 9,021 units sold in December 2025, down sharply from 13,807 units in December 2024. This resulted in a YoY decline of 34.66%, pointing to a slowdown in demand during the month.
Greaves Electric sold 4,751 units, up from 2,794 units a year earlier. The company achieved a YoY growth of 70.04%, reflecting steady growth in the affordable EV category.
Classic Legends retailed 3,748 units in December 2025, compared to 2,404 units in December 2024. This translated into a 55.91% YoY growth, driven by increased interest in Jawa and Yezdi motorcycles.
Piaggio recorded 2,417 units, slightly higher than 2,260 units sold last year. The brand posted a YoY growth of 6.95%, indicating stable performance in the premium scooter segment.
BGauss delivered 2,188 units in December 2025, nearly doubling from 1,102 units in December 2024. This resulted in a YoY growth of 98.55%, highlighting rapid expansion in the EV space.
River Mobility reported 1,796 units, a massive jump from just 195 units last year. This marked an exceptional YoY growth of 821.03%, showcasing strong adoption of its electric scooter.
The “Others Including EV” category recorded 8,774 units in December 2025, compared to 9,492 units in December 2024. This resulted in a YoY decline of 7.56%, despite growing participation from newer EV brands.
