Vida Launches Dirt.E K3:Fun Electric Bike for Young Riders

Vida, the electric mobility brand from Hero MotoCorp, has taken a new step by entering the children’s off-road segment. The company has introduced the Dirt.E K3, an electric motorcycle specially made for young riders between 4 and 10 years of age. Vida aims to build early riding skills while keeping safety and learning at the center.

The Dirt.E K3 will be available at an introductory price of Rs 69,990 for the first 300 units. Sales will begin on January 15, 2026, across selected outlets in cities such as Delhi, Bengaluru, Pune, Jaipur, and Calicut. Perhaps this limited launch will help the brand understand how families respond to electric bikes for children.

Built to Grow With Young Riders

One key highlight of the Dirt.E K3 is its smart three-stage adjustable system. Using just one tool, parents can adjust the bike between Small, Medium, and Large sizes. This feature helps the motorcycle grow along with the child, instead of being outgrown quickly. In addition, the bike keeps a comfortable riding position, which helps children learn good riding habits early.

The electric bike runs on a 350W motor with a peak output of 500W. It uses a 360Wh removable battery that parents can easily take out and charge at home. A full charge takes about three hours and gives up to three hours of riding time, depending on how and where the bike is used. However, actual usage may vary based on terrain and riding mode.

Focus on Safety and Parental Control

Parents can control speed and riding modes through an app. The bike offers three modes: Beginner, Amateur, and Pro with top speeds of 8 km/h, 16 km/h, and 25 km/h. In addition, the bike includes a rear hydraulic disc brake, a child-sized brake lever, and a magnetic kill switch that stops the bike instantly if needed.

The Dirt.E K3 was developed at Hero MotoCorp’s global R&D centers in Germany and Jaipur. Production will happen at the Tirupati plant in Andhra Pradesh. According to Executive Chairman Pawan Munjal, Vida wants to reshape mobility for the next generation. Through the Dirt.E series, the brand hopes to offer a fun, safe, and responsible start to riding for young children.
