Hero Vida Crosses 2 Lakh Electric Scooter Sales in 2026

Hero Vida has achieved a major sales milestone in India's electric two wheeler market. The brand has crossed 2 lakh electric scooter sales in 2026 for the first time in a calendar year. Between January 1 and October 29, 2026, Vida sold 2,00,143 units, compared to 1,13,021 units during the entire 2025 calendar year. This represents a growth of around 77%.

Moreover, October 2026 became Vida's best sales month so far, with 27,435 scooters sold. Here are more details about the brand's latest sales performance.

Hero Vida Records Its Highest Monthly Sales in October 2026

Vida sold 27,435 electric scooters in October 2026, marking a 66% increase over the 16,499 units sold in October 2025. Its previous monthly record stood at 24,435 units in September 2026. In addition, the brand crossed 20,000 monthly sales five times this year.

Another positive trend is Vida's steady sales growth across all three quarters of 2026. The brand sold 49,043 units in Q1 (January-March). However, sales increased to 57,059 units in Q2 (April-June). During Q3 (July-September), deliveries climbed further to 66,606 units.

Based on this growth, Vida expects to sell around 2.5 lakh to 2.6 lakh electric scooters by the end of 2026.

Vida Increases Its Share in India's EV Market

Vida currently holds an 11% share of India's electric two-wheeler market in 2026. The overall market recorded 17.7 lakh sales during this period. Its market share was 8% during the same period last year, when total sales stood at 11.1 lakh units.

The brand currently ranks fourth in the electric two-wheeler market. It follows TVS Motor, Bajaj Auto and Ather Energy, while staying ahead of Ola Electric and Greaves Electric Mobility.

To support rising demand, Hero MotoCorp has doubled monthly production capacity at its Chittoor plant in Andhra Pradesh. The capacity increased from 15,000 units at the end of FY2026 to 30,000 units in September 2026.

Furthermore, Hero MotoCorp CEO Harshavardhan Chitale expects capacity to reach 45,000 units monthly by Q4 FY2027. Vida's current electric scooter range includes the VX2 Go, VX2 Plus, V2 Pro, and V2 Plus. The brand also offers the DIRT.E K3 youth electric motorcycle.
