Bajaj Pulsar 220F With Dual-Channel ABS Launched in India at Rs 1.28 Lakh

Bajaj Auto has officially launched the updated Pulsar 220F in the Indian market at an ex-showroom price of Rs 1,28,490 (Delhi). Compared to the previous version, the updated Pulsar 220F is priced just Rs 1,221 higher.

This update brings an important safety enhancement along with fresh cosmetic changes. Earlier, the revised model had already started reaching dealerships across the country, creating anticipation among buyers.

What’s New in the Updated Pulsar 220F

Updated Pulsar 220F

The biggest highlight of the updated Pulsar 220F is the introduction of dual-channel ABS as standard. Earlier, the motorcycle was offered with single-channel ABS. However, with this upgrade, braking performance improves significantly, especially during sudden stops. In addition, the system helps prevent wheel lock on both ends, offering better control and confidence on different road conditions.

New Colours and Revised Graphics

Along with the safety update, Bajaj has introduced four new colour options: Black Cherry Red, Black Ink Blue, Black Copper Beige, and Green Light Copper. Among these, the Green Light Copper shade stands out the most, thanks to its bold green finish combined with copper and dark grey graphics. The other shades follow a more subtle black-based theme. Although the graphics are new, the overall semi-faired design remains unchanged.

Engine and Performance Remain Familiar

Mechanically, the Pulsar 220F stays the same. It continues to use the trusted 220cc, air- and oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine. This motor produces around 20.6 bhp of power and 18.55 Nm of torque, paired with a five-speed gearbox. Perhaps this is a smart move, as the engine is known for its strong mid-range and comfortable highway cruising ability.

Features and Hardware Details

The motorcycle retains its existing hardware, including disc brakes at both ends, telescopic front forks, and twin rear shock absorbers. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels and now uses Eurogrip tyres. In addition, the Pulsar 220F continues to offer a Bluetooth-enabled LCD instrument cluster with features like turn-by-turn navigation, call alerts, and distance-to-empty readout. However, it still misses out on a gear-position indicator.
