The iconic Bajaj Pulsar 220F is getting ready for an update, as the 2025 version has started arriving at dealerships across India. This early arrival strongly hints at an official launch very soon. Perhaps Bajaj Auto could unveil the updated Pulsar 220F at India Bike Week (IBW) 2025, scheduled for 19–20 December.
Currently, the Pulsar 220F is priced at Rs 1.27 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). With the added features, the updated model is expected to cost around Rs 5,000 to Rs 6,000 more. Despite this, it remains a strong value-for-money offering.

At first glance, the Pulsar 220F may look familiar. However, Bajaj has made a few important changes that improve safety and style, without altering the bike’s core character.
The biggest and most important update is the addition of dual-channel ABS. This is the first time the Pulsar 220F gets this feature. In addition, dual-channel ABS helps prevent both wheels from locking during sudden braking. This makes the bike safer and more confidence-inspiring, especially at high speeds or on slippery roads.

Along with the safety upgrade, Bajaj has introduced two new colour options. Both versions come with a black base paint but feature fresh graphics. One gets red and dark grey highlights, while the other comes with copper and dark grey accents. These new graphics give the bike a more modern and sporty look.
Bajaj has also added colour-matched rim stripes, which further enhance its road presence. Moreover, the bulky halogen indicators have finally been replaced with sleeker LED indicators, similar to those seen on Bajaj’s newer models. Carbon-fibre-style accents on the fairing and side panels also add to the bike’s visual appeal.
However, Bajaj has wisely kept the core of the Pulsar 220F intact. The design still carries the same muscular styling and semi-fairing that fans have loved for years. Mechanically, the bike continues to use the same 220cc, air- and oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine, producing around 20.6bhp and 18.55 Nm of torque.
The steel frame, telescopic front forks, twin rear shock absorbers, and braking hardware remain unchanged. The bike also continues to offer the same LCD instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity, navigation, and call alerts.
