Last week brought several important updates for Indian two wheeler buyers and enthusiasts across different segments. Major brands announced new scooter & motorcycle variants, while upcoming models were spotted during testing.
These developments include special edition launches, safety upgrades, and future performance bikes. Therefore, the week remained active with both confirmed launches and expected arrivals. Here is a clear and simple round up of the biggest two wheeler stories from the past week.
The last week was used by manufacturers to firm up current models while gearing up for fresh entries into other categories. Special edition scooters & motorcycles tried to rejuvenate showroom appeal without changes in the mechanics. Safety upgrades started to take centre stage with ABS making its availability felt on best sellers.
At the same time, higher capacity motorcycles in development signaled a push toward performance focused products. These moves reflect changing buyer demand across commuter and premium segments.

Honda introduced the Dio 125 X-Edition at Rs. 87,733, targeting buyers seeking a sportier scooter design. This new edition comes with a dual tone colour finish that looks more youthful & modern. Moreover, the Pearl Siren Blue and Pearl Deep Ground Gray shades add visual contrast. Mechanically, the scooter remains unchanged from the existing Dio 125. However, features stay competitive with a TFT screen offering navigation & call alerts.

Honda also expanded its commuter lineup with the Shine 125 Limited Edition priced at Rs. 86,211. This version costs slightly more than the standard disc variant due to visual upgrades. In addition, the new Pearl Siren Blue shade with brown graphics improves its road presence. The brown coloured alloy wheels further add a premium look. However, the engine and performance figures remain the same as the regular Shine 125.

Suzuki launched a new Access 125 variant equipped with single channel ABS, priced from Rs. 92,328. This update focuses on improving braking control during sudden stops. Hence, rider safety improves, especially on wet or slippery roads. Suzuki offers this version in Ride Connect and Ride Connect TFT trims. The higher variant costs Rs. 98,378 and adds a more advanced display.

A fully faired motorcycle based on the BMW F 450 GS platform was seen testing in India recently. This sighting strongly hints at the upcoming TVS Apache RR 450. Although the test bike was camouflaged, its sporty stance was clearly visible. Moreover, the final version may take styling cues from the Tangent RR concept. It is expected to use a 420cc parallel twin engine producing strong power & torque.

Bajaj Auto is going to launch the Pulsar 350 & Dominar 350 to increase its range of 350cc products. The launch dates are not distinct, but the introductions are anticipated in the next few months. Thus, Bajaj tries to cover the gap between the 250cc & 400cc models it currently produces. This is probably based on the even older 373cc motor with updated internals. Also, this platform can be used to promote future KTM & Triumph motorcycles.
