
FADA has announced its January 2026 two-wheeler retail sales report, registering a 20.82 percent YoY growth. In January 2026, total two-wheeler sales stood at 18,52,870 units, compared to 15,33,556 units in January 2025. This resulted in a 20.8 percent year-on-year increase, reflecting improved demand across the two-wheeler retail market.

Hero MotoCorp remained the market leader with 4,92,167 units sold in January 2026, compared to 4,11,529 units in January 2025. This resulted in a 19.59 percent YoY growth, indicating stable demand across commuter and entry-level motorcycles. The company’s market share declined marginally by 1.02 percent, though it continued to dominate overall retail sales.
Honda secured the second position with 4,72,938 units sold in January 2026. This was higher than 3,74,474 units recorded in January 2025, marking a strong 26.29 percent YoY growth. The company also improved its market share by 4.53 percent, reflecting sustained demand in the scooter and commuter segments.
TVS registered 3,64,241 units in January 2026, up from 2,88,742 units in January 2025. This translated into a healthy 26.15 percent YoY growth, driven by consistent performance across motorcycles, scooters, and electric models. The company’s market share also increased by 4.41 percent.
Bajaj Auto sold 1,95,752 units in January 2026, compared to 1,74,414 units in the previous year. This represented a 12.23 percent YoY growth in retail volumes. However, the brand witnessed a 7.11 percent decline in market share, indicating pressure in certain commuter and export-oriented categories.
Royal Enfield continued its strong momentum with 1,06,398 units sold in January 2026, rising from 78,730 units in January 2025. This delivered an impressive 35.14 percent YoY growth. The company’s market share also increased by 11.85 percent, highlighting strong demand in the mid-capacity motorcycle segment.
Suzuki recorded 98,899 units in January 2026, up from 88,892 units in January 2025. The brand posted an 11.26 percent YoY growth, supported by steady scooter and commuter motorcycle sales. However, Suzuki’s market share declined by 7.92 percent during the period.
Yamaha sold 64,399 units in January 2026, compared to 58,359 units in January 2025. This reflected a 10.35 percent YoY growth, indicating gradual recovery in retail demand. Despite this growth, the brand’s market share dropped by 8.67 percent.
Ather delivered a strong performance with 21,999 units sold in January 2026, rising from 13,097 units in January 2025. This resulted in a sharp 67.97 percent YoY growth, driven by expanding EV adoption. The company’s market share also surged by 39.02 percent.
Ola Electric witnessed a steep decline, selling 7,516 units in January 2026 versus 24,413 units a year earlier. This translated into a 69.21 percent YoY drop in retail sales. The brand’s market share fell sharply by 74.52 percent, indicating a significant slowdown.
Greaves Electric sold 5,337 units in January 2026, up from 3,613 units in January 2025. This resulted in a 47.72 percent YoY growth, supported by improving traction in budget electric scooters. The company also recorded a 22.26 percent rise in market share.
Classic Legends posted 4,940 units in January 2026, compared to 2,839 units in January 2025. The company achieved a strong 74 percent YoY growth, reflecting rising interest in Jawa and Yezdi motorcycles. Market share also increased by 44.02 percent.
Piaggio sold 2,939 units in January 2026, slightly higher than 2,806 units sold in January 2025. This marked a 4.74 percent YoY growth. However, the company’s market share declined by 13.31 percent, indicating limited volume expansion.
River Mobility recorded 2,587 units in January 2026, up sharply from 611 units in January 2025. This represented the highest growth at 323.40 percent YoY, albeit on a low base. The brand’s market share surged by 250.44 percent.
BGauss sold 2,477 units in January 2026, compared to 1,451 units in the previous year. The brand reported a 70.71 percent YoY growth, supported by its expanding electric scooter portfolio. Market share also improved by 41.29 percent.
The “Others Including EV” category recorded 10,281 units in January 2026 versus 9,586 units last year. This resulted in a 7.25 percent YoY growth. However, the group saw an 11.23 percent decline in overall market share.
