Harley-Davidson has refreshed its X440 lineup in India with a noticeable price cut and a revised variant structure. The company has discontinued the base Denim variant, which makes the Vivid trim the new entry point. This update comes as Harley aims to strengthen its position in the competitive mid-capacity motorcycle segment.

With the Denim model removed from the lineup, the Vivid trim now stands as the most affordable X440 option. The company has also dropped its price by Rs 20,000, bringing it down to Rs 2,34,500 (ex-showroom). The Vivid offers features like multi-spoke alloy wheels, LED headlamps, a TFT console and KYB suspension. It also comes in new colour choices such as Metallic Thick Red, Metallic Dark Silver, Mustard and Goldfish Silver.

In addition, Harley-Davidson has revised the price of the premium X440 S variant. This makes it Rs 24,600 more affordable. It now costs Rs 2,54,900 (ex-showroom). The S trim continues to differentiate itself with premium touches like a 3D tank emblem, diamond-cut alloy wheels and a 3.5-inch TFT display loaded with the Connect 2.0 suite. This includes smartphone pairing, navigation support and music control, offering riders a richer experience.
Harley-Davidson decided to discontinue the Denim variant because it received limited interest from buyers. The model offered basic equipment like spoke wheels with tube-type tyres, which many riders felt did not justify its price. As a result, the company shifted focus toward the better-equipped Vivid and S variants, which gained more traction in the market.
Despite the price cuts, Harley-Davidson has kept the mechanical setup unchanged. The X440 continues to use its 440cc single-cylinder engine that delivers 27bhp and 38Nm, paired with a six-speed gearbox. This long-stroke motor is known for its smooth, torquey performance.
