Harley-Davidson’s upcoming Sprint 440 cruiser has been spotted without camouflage as it begins arriving at dealerships. The latest spy photos reveal its design, new body parts and hardware. Earlier this month, the company teased the motorcycle, and now these images offer a clearer look ahead of its expected launch.
The Sprint 440 features a more traditional cruiser design than the Harley-Davidson X440. It gets a new fuel tank, a single-piece scooped seat and raised, pulled-back handlebars. In addition, black finishes cover much of the motorcycle, while machined engine fins and a bright exhaust heat shield add contrast.
The black version features Harley-Davidson lettering inside an orange-bordered tank graphic. Moreover, the new side panel carries Sprint branding. The spy shots also show blue, grey and red tank options.
At the front, the motorcycle gets a round headlamp with bright trim, separate turn indicators and a compact front mudguard. However, it does not feature a large windscreen.

The dipped rider seat and raised pillion section give the Sprint 440 a distinctive profile. Furthermore, the pulled-back handlebars suggest a relaxed riding position. The wheelbase appears longer than the X440’s, while the front fork angle also seems different.
The footpegs appear slightly forward but remain close to the engine. This setup could balance cruiser styling with easier control in everyday traffic.
A circular instrument console sits above the handlebar mount, similar to the X440’s unit. The motorcycle also gets conventional switchgear and a keyed ignition.
The Sprint 440 features upside down (USD) front forks, twin rear shock absorbers and alloy wheels with machined detailing. Disc brakes appear at both ends, while the front wheel has an ABS sensor ring.
In addition, the motorcycle gets a low-mounted exhaust with a metallic heat shield and three dark strips. The rear section features a compact tail lamp, separate indicators and a wider looking rear tyre.
Harley-Davidson may use the X440’s 440cc single-cylinder, air-oil-cooled engine and six speed gearbox. On the X440, this engine produces 27 bhp and 38 Nm of torque. However, the company has yet to confirm the Sprint 440’s power figures or gearing.
Hero MotoCorp will manufacture the Sprint 440 in India under its partnership with Harley-Davidson. Perhaps, its traditional cruiser design will attract buyers who prefer this style over the X440’s roadster look. With X440 sales reportedly reaching around 2,000-3,000 units per month, the new cruiser could also help increase the brand’s sales.
