Harley-Davidson Increases X440 Prices in India

Harley-Davidson has increased the prices of its popular entry-level motorcycle, the X440, in India. The company has raised the prices of all variants, and the increase goes up to Rs. 5,000 depending on the model. As a result, buyers now need to spend a little more to bring home this motorcycle.

New Prices of Harley-Davidson X440 Variants

The price hike differs across the three variants of the Harley-Davidson X440. The base Vivid variant now costs Rs. 2.36 lakh (ex-showroom), which is Rs. 1,000 more than before.

In addition, the mid-spec S variant has become Rs. 4,000 more expensive. It now carries a price tag of Rs. 2.59 lakh (ex-showroom).

Meanwhile, the top-end X440 T variant has received the highest increase of Rs. 5,000. Earlier, this model was available at Rs. 2.79 lakh. However, customers now have to pay Rs. 2.84 lakh (ex-showroom) for the same motorcycle.

Why Has Harley-Davidson Increased the Prices?

According to industry reports, Harley-Davidson bikes have revised the prices because of rising raw material and manufacturing costs. As production expenses continue to increase, companies often adjust vehicle prices to balance these costs. Therefore, the latest revision reflects the changing market conditions.

X440 T Offers More Features

The X440 T is the newest member of the X440 lineup. Harley-Davidson introduced this variant in December last year. Besides its unique styling, the motorcycle also comes with several additional features.

For example, it gets a ride-by-wire throttle, two riding modes called Road and Rain, and switchable traction control. These features help improve rider convenience and control in different riding conditions.

Engine and Performance Remain Unchanged

Although the prices have increased, Harley-Davidson has not made any mechanical changes to the motorcycle. This cruiser bike continues to use the same 440cc, air-oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine.

This engine produces 27 bhp of power and 38 Nm of torque. As a result, the motorcycle continues to offer a strong and enjoyable riding experience for daily rides as well as weekend trips.

Competition in the Segment

The Harley-Davidson X440 competes with motorcycles such as the Royal Enfield Classic 350, Triumph Speed 400, and Honda Hness CB350. However, it is worth noting that all these rivals are currently priced lower than the top-spec X440 T variant. Even so, the X440 continues to attract buyers with its styling, features, and Harley-Davidson branding.
