Bajaj has introduced the Dominar 400 Adventure Edition in Colombia, where it is sold as the Dominar 400 Tera. While Indian buyers recently got the updated Dominar 400 with a new 350cc engine, Bajaj continues to sell the older 373cc version in South American markets. However, the Adventure Edition offers more than just a different name. It gets unique styling updates and practical touring accessories that make it more suitable for adventure rides.

New Design Gives the Bike a Fresh Look

The biggest highlight of the Adventure Edition is its exclusive design. Among the latest Bajaj Bikes sold overseas, the Dominar 400 Tera stands out with a unique Brown paint scheme, while the regular Touring version comes in Sparkling Black.

In addition, the Adventure Edition gets special topographic graphics on the fuel tank and rear side panels. It also features exclusive "400" branding, giving the motorcycle a more premium and adventure-ready appearance. Perhaps these visual updates make the bike look more appealing than the standard version.

Touring Upgrades Improve Practicality

Bajaj has also added useful accessories to improve long-distance touring. The Bajaj Dominar 400 Adventure Edition comes with saddle stays above the rear luggage rack, making it easier to mount saddle bags and carry extra luggage during long rides.

Furthermore, the motorcycle gets block pattern tyres that offer better grip on rough roads and light off-road trails. These tyres add more versatility compared to the street-focused MRF REVZ tyres available on the India-spec Bajaj Dominar 400.

Engine Remains Different from India Model

The Colombia-spec Dominar 400 Adventure Edition continues with the 373cc, single-cylinder engine. It produces 39.43 PS of power and 35 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch.

However, the latest India-spec Dominar 400 now uses a new 350cc engine that delivers 40.6 PS and 33.2 Nm of torque. Although the Indian model produces slightly more power, the overseas version offers higher torque.

Overall, the Dominar 400 Adventure Edition combines fresh styling with practical touring upgrades. While Bajaj has not announced plans to launch this version in India, many touring enthusiasts would certainly welcome features like block pattern tyres, unique colours, and factory-fitted saddle stays on the Indian model.
