2026 Ducati Monster Launched In India at Rs 13.99 Lakh With New 890cc V2 Engine

Ducati has launched the 2026 Ducati Monster in India at Rs 13.99 lakh ex showroom. The fifth generation naked motorcycle arrived on August 10, 2026. It gets a new 890cc V2 engine, lighter chassis and updated electronics.

Ducati offers the new Monster in standard and Monster+versions. The range now goes up to Rs 14.45 lakh for the top spec Monster+. The new model targets buyers looking for a premium performance motorcycle for both city riding and weekend runs. 

2026 Ducati Monster Price And Variants

The standard Monster starts at Rs 13.99 lakh in Ducati Red. Iceberg White and Sport Livery versions cost Rs 14.23 lakh.

The Monster+ starts at Rs 14.34 lakh in Ducati Red. The other two colour options cost Rs 14.45 lakh.

The Monster+ adds a headlight cowl and passenger seat cover. Both versions share the same engine, chassis and electronic package. It will continue to compete with rivals such as the Triumph Street Triple 765 R, BMW F 900 Rand Kawasaki Z900.

2026 Ducati Monster: New 890cc V2 Engine

The biggest change comes from Ducati's new 890cc V2 engine. It produces 111 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 91.1 Nm at 7,250 rpm.

The engine uses Intake Variable Timing for smoother low speed response and stronger mid range performance. Ducati claims more than 80% of peak torque is available between 4,000 rpm and 10,000 rpm.

The new engine is also 5.9 kg lighter than the previous Testastretta Evoluzione unit. Valve clearance checks now come at a claimed 45,000 km interval.

Lighter Chassis and Updated Features

The Ducati Bike uses a monocoque frame with the engine serving as a stressed member. It weighs 175 kg without fuel, which is 4 kg lighter than before.

It gets a 43mm Showa USD fork and Showa rear monoshock with preload adjustment. The seat height is now 815mm, five millimetres lower than before.

What Buyers Should Know

The Monster uses twin 320mm front discs with Brembo M4.32 radial calipers. It rides on Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres.

Ducati also offers Protect maintenance packages starting at Rs 30,999. The four year package costs Rs 54,999.

For buyers, the new Monster combines lower weight, stronger electronics and a new V2 engine. However, its premium price keeps it firmly within the performance motorcycle segment.
