Yamaha India posted strong sales growth in May 2026. The company sold 72,821 units during the month. This marks a solid 58.01% rise compared to 46,086 units in May 2025. In addition, Yamaha gained 26,735 extra units in total sales. The growth mainly came from strong demand for scooters and motorcycles like RayZR, R15, MT-15, and Fascino. However, some models showed mixed results compared to last year.
The RayZR scooter continued its strong performance and stayed at the top of Yamaha’s sales chart. It sold 21,403 units in May 2026. This shows a sharp rise from 13,023 units sold in May 2025. Therefore, it recorded a strong 64.35% growth.
Moreover, RayZR alone contributed a large share of Yamaha’s total monthly sales. The FZ series followed in second place with 14,862 units. It also showed steady growth of 14.51%. Among Yamaha Bikes, the FZ series continues to attract daily commuters due to its balance of style and practicality.

The R15 continued to perform well in the sporty segment. It sold 9,803 units in May 2026, which is a 63.47% increase over last year. In addition, the MT-15 also performed strongly with 9,579 units, growing by 36.18%.
Meanwhile, the XSR 155 added 6,587 units to Yamaha’s total. Together, Yamaha’s 155cc lineup contributed a major share to overall sales. This shows that young buyers still prefer performance-focused motorcycles.
The Fascino scooter recorded 8,412 units in May 2026. It grew by 60.20% compared to last year. However, it saw a drop when compared to the previous month.
In addition, the Aerox 155 sold 2,091 units and posted steady growth. Yamaha also sold 84 units of its EC06 electric scooter, which added a small contribution to the overall numbers.
Compared to April 2026, Yamaha’s total sales increased by 7.11%. The company moved from 67,988 units to 72,821 units. RayZR showed strong monthly growth of 23.73%. Moreover, MT-15 recorded a major jump of 42.10%.
However, some models like Fascino and FZ saw a slight drop in monthly sales. Even then, Yamaha maintained overall positive momentum in the Indian market.

Overall, Yamaha continues to show strong performance in India. The brand benefits from both scooters and motorcycles. While RayZR leads the sales chart, models like R15, MT-15, and XSR support Yamaha’s premium growth.
As a result, Yamaha enters the next month with strong demand and steady market presence across different segments.
