Suzuki has expanded its middleweight motorcycle range with a new roadster at EICMA 2026. The newly unveiled Suzuki SV-7S brings back the traditional naked roadster design with modern features and updated technology. It also carries forward the legacy of the SV650, which has served the brand since 1999.
The new SV-7S shares its underpinnings with the recently introduced SV-7GX sport tourer. However, Suzuki has given the roadster a different design and riding setup.
The Suzuki SV-7S uses a liquid-cooled, 90-degree V-twin engine. This engine produces 72bhp at 8,500rpm and 63Nm at 6,800rpm. Suzuki has updated its internal parts, airbox and electronic throttle body. In addition, changes to the emissions system help the engine meet Euro5+ standards.
The motorcycle also gets a 2-into-1 exhaust system. These updates aim to keep the familiar V-twin engine ready for current emission rules.

Unlike the SV-7GX, the SV-7S follows a traditional naked roadster design. It gets a round LED headlight, an exposed trellis frame, and minimal bodywork. Moreover, its tubular steel frame uses a 41mm telescopic front fork with 125mm travel. The rear gets a preload-adjustable monoshock with 129mm travel.
For braking, Suzuki offers twin 290mm front discs with four-piston calipers and a 240mm rear disc. Two-channel ABS also comes as standard.
In addition, the SV-7S gets Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (SIRS). It includes three riding modes, switchable traction control and a bi-directional quickshifter. A 4.2-inch colour TFT display provides key riding information. Riders also get smartphone connectivity through Suzuki's RideConnect app and LED lighting at both ends.
Suzuki has not announced the SV-7S price yet. Perhaps the brand will share more details closer to its market launch. However, its India launch remains unconfirmed.
If Suzuki brings this roadster to India, it could compete with middleweight motorcycles from Royal Enfield, Triumph and BSA. More details about its availability and pricing should clarify its position in the segment.
