KTM has silently updated its popular 200 Duke variant in the Indian auto market. The updated variant is now reported to be moving to dealerships. The new variant now comes with several mechanical & cosmetic changes. The bike has been updated to offer the rider an enhanced racing experience. The bike has been updated with lighter alloy wheels & a slimmer rear tyre. The pricing of the bike is similar to the current variant. The new variant is available in an updated Atlantic Blue colour combination.

Fresh Design & Aggressive Colour Scheme

The updated Duke 200 now features a dual tone orange and blue colour scheme called Atlantic Blue. The new graphics on the tank extensions and tail section give the bike a sportier appearance. Moreover, the fresh design complements the aggressive styling of KTM’s streetfighter range. This change not only improves aesthetics but also adds visual appeal for younger riders.

Improved Suspension And Lighter Wheels

The bike now comes with a smaller 37mm WP Apex front fork, replacing the older 43mm unit. In addition, the alloy wheels are lighter, which should enhance handling and agility. The front disc has been upgraded to a larger 320mm, similar to the Duke 250. Furthermore, the rear tyre size is reduced from 150 section to 140 section, likely improving cornering performance.

Added Convenience Features

KTM has also included a USB-C charging port near the instrument console. This addition provides riders a practical way to charge devices while on the move. Hence, small but useful changes improve the bike’s usability and daily convenience.

Engine Performance Remains Unchanged

The 200 Duke is still powered by the same 199cc liquid cooled single cylinder engine that produces 24.65 bhp & 19.3 Nm torque. So, it still offers the enthusiastic performance of the previous bike with better handling. It can be expected that the newly updated version will be familiar to the rider while offering better response.
