Triumph Motorcycles has made it their milestone to hit one lakh motorcycles on Indian roads in India. This has been achieved following the decision by the British brand to collaborate with Bajaj Auto in the second quarter of 2023 to enhance its position. Thus, Triumph has made faster decisions in developing India, its customer base and a big rider community with organized events and engagement programs.

The partnership with Bajaj Auto has helped Triumph utilize Bajaj’s research, manufacturing, & distribution capabilities across the country. Moreover, this collaboration has allowed Triumph to reach more than 200 towns in India, supported by over 230 retail outlets. In addition, the brand has focused on connecting with riders through club activities, experiential rides, and community programs that strengthen engagement.
Manik Nangia, President, Probiking at Bajaj Auto, said, “Reaching the milestone within 2.5 years reflects strong customer endorsement for the brand’s modern classic motorcycles and engineering capabilities.” He added that Triumph customers are discerning riders, and the company is focused on growing its premium ecosystem while expanding engagement across India.

Triumph has actively developed a strong riding community in India through initiatives like World of Triumph and Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride. Additionally, experiential events including Triumph Tiger Trails, Scrambler rides, bike nights, and Western Ghats riding tours have attracted enthusiasts and strengthened brand loyalty. Therefore, the company is not only selling motorcycles but also creating meaningful experiences for its customers.
The Triumph 400cc range manufactured locally is being exported to 18 foreign markets such as Japan, Australia, Mexico, Taiwan and South Korea. Therefore, Triumph motorcycles, which are made in India, have been accepted worldwide as an indication of the capability of the brand in engineering and high demand in the foreign markets. Also, localisation has enabled the Triumph to control expenses, as well as, quality standards, which has led to the success of the brand in India.
