Royal Enfield Domestic Sales Grow 24% in May 2026, Classic 350 Leads the Charts

Royal Enfield recorded strong domestic sales in May 2026, selling 94,115 motorcycles across India. The company posted a healthy 24.13% year-on-year (YoY) growth compared to 75,820 units sold in May 2025. However, monthly sales moved in the opposite direction. Compared to 1,04,129 units sold in April 2026, domestic sales fell by 9.62% in May. Even so, the brand's popular 350cc motorcycles continued to drive overall sales and made up more than 92% of the company's domestic volume.

Classic 350 Remains the Best Selling Royal Enfield

The Royal Enfield Classic 350 continued to hold the top position in the company's lineup. The Royal Enfield motorcycle recorded sales of 34,594 units in May 2026, which was 20.84% higher than the 28,628 units sold in May last year. In addition, the Classic 350 alone contributed 36.76% of Royal Enfield's total domestic sales, making it the biggest contributor for the month.

The Bullet 350 also delivered an impressive performance. Sales increased to 23,372 units from 17,279 units in May 2025, showing a healthy 35.26% growth. Likewise, the Hunter 350 maintained its strong demand by registering 20,418 units, up 27.84% over last year. Meanwhile, the Meteor 350 posted sales of 8,360 units, which marked an 8.61% increase on a yearly basis.

Guerrilla 450 Posts the Highest Growth

Among the newer motorcycles, the Guerrilla 450 recorded the highest growth in percentage terms. The motorcycle sold 1,657 units during May 2026, compared to 1,035 units in the same month last year. As a result, it achieved an impressive 60.10% YoY growth.

At the same time, the Himalayan also reported positive numbers. The adventure motorcycle registered sales of 1,627 units, reflecting a 9.27% increase over May 2025. In addition, the Royal Enfield 650 Twin range continued its steady performance with sales of 3,602 units, up 34.65% from 2,675 units sold a year earlier.

However, not every model recorded positive growth. The Super Meteor witnessed a sharp decline, with sales dropping to 404 units from 851 units last year. Similarly, the Shotgun recorded only 81 units, down from 194 units in May 2025.

350cc Motorcycles Continue to Drive Sales

Royal Enfield's 350cc lineup, including the Classic 350, Bullet 350, Hunter 350 and Meteor 350, remained the company's strongest segment. Together, these motorcycles generated 86,744 units in May 2026. This represented a 24.68% increase over 69,576 units sold during the same period last year. As a result, the segment contributed 92.17% of Royal Enfield's total domestic sales.

Meanwhile, the company's 450cc portfolio, consisting of the Guerrilla 450 and Himalayan, recorded combined sales of 3,284 units. This category registered a 30.11% YoY increase. Likewise, the 650cc range, including the 650 Twins and Super Meteor, also posted overall growth despite lower sales from the Super Meteor.

Despite the strong yearly growth, Royal Enfield reported lower sales across most models when compared to April 2026. Total domestic volumes dropped by 10,014 units during the month. The Classic 350, Bullet 350 and Hunter 350 all recorded lower month-on-month sales. Moreover, the Meteor 350 also saw a noticeable decline.

Perhaps the biggest monthly drop came from the Guerrilla 450, which fell from 2,474 units in April to 1,657 units in May. Likewise, the Shotgun also registered a sharp sequential decline. Even so, Royal Enfield's popular 350cc motorcycles continued to remain the company's biggest strength and helped deliver healthy year-on-year growth in May 2026.
