KTM 160 Duke Gets New TFT Variant in India: Here’s What’s New

Published at December 19, 2025 | By BikeJunction

KTM India has expanded the 160 Duke lineup by launching a new top-spec variant equipped with a 5-inch TFT instrument console. This new 160 Duke TFT variant costs Rs 1,78,536 (ex-showroom) and sits above the existing LCD-equipped model, which continues to retail at Rs 1.71 lakh. KTM has made its entire Duke range in India uniform, as every model now offers a TFT display option.

In addition, the price difference between the two variants stands at Rs 7,991, which buyers will need to pay for a more modern and premium-looking console.

What Does the New TFT Display Offer?

KTM 160 Duke TFT

The 5-inch TFT unit on the KTM 160 Duke is the same one seen on higher models like the KTM 200 Duke and 390 Duke. It supports Bluetooth connectivity and works with the KTM app, allowing riders to access turn-by-turn navigation, call alerts, and music controls. However, calls can only be received and not dialed, which KTM has deliberately done to keep riders focused on the road.

Importantly, the information shown on the TFT is the same as the LCD unit. This includes speed, RPM, gear position, fuel level, distance-to-empty, trip data, clock, and warning lights. The real difference lies in the display quality. The TFT offers sharper graphics, better contrast, and improved visibility, especially in bright daylight. It also allows riders to set shift RPM alerts, pair a headset, and change display themes using the familiar four-way switchgear.

No Mechanical Changes

Apart from the new display, the KTM 160 Duke remains unchanged. It continues to be powered by a 164.2cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 19 PS and 15.5 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. This makes it the most powerful bike in its class, edging past rivals like the Yamaha MT-15.

In addition, the bike retains its lightweight chassis, WP USD front forks, WP rear monoshock, Bybre brakes, and Supermoto ABS, ensuring the same sharp handling and performance-focused riding experience.
