Honda has announced a price cut across its motorcycles and scooters after the new GST rates came into effect. The Japanese brand has passed on the full benefit to its customers.
The reduction goes up to Rs. 18,887 depending on the model and variant. Popular Honda bikes and scooters like Activa, Shine, Unicorn and CB350 now cost less under the revised taxation.
Under the updated GST structure, two-wheelers under 350cc are now taxed at 18 percent, compared to the earlier 28 percent.
Hence, almost the entire Honda lineup in India has seen a price drop. However, premium bikes above 350cc will now become costlier, as their GST rate has increased to 40 percent from 31 percent.
