Honda has surprised motorcycle fans in India by quietly taking down the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP and the Rebel 500 from its official website. These two models were launched only recently, and their sudden absence has left many riders wondering what the company is planning next.
According to information from several BigWing dealerships, both bikes are already sold out. Many dealers mentioned that they have no remaining stock, which suggests Honda may have brought only a small number of units to India. In addition, this is something the company has done earlier as well. For instance, bikes like the CB300R and CBR650F were introduced and later removed without much notice.

The CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP was Honda’s top-tier supersport in India. It had been sold in the past, and earlier this year, Honda brought it back in the sportier and more premium SP variant. However, its stay was short-lived once again.
Perhaps Honda brought only a few units for the first batch and those were quickly picked up by buyers. As a result, the model has now been removed from the site, indicating that the stock is fully allotted.

Meanwhile, the Rebel 500 was introduced in India for the very first time. Many riders were excited to see the cruiser enter the Indian market finally. However, just like the Fireblade, it has now disappeared from the official website. This suggests a similar situation, a small number of units were brought in, and all of them seem to be sold already.
While the removal of both motorcycles may seem concerning, it does not necessarily mean Honda is ending their journey in India. The brand has followed this pattern before. For example, the CB300R was taken off the site despite having some locally sourced parts. In that case, the reason seemed to be low sales. However, the Fireblade SP and Rebel 500 appear to have faced the opposite situation, limited imports leading to quick sellouts.
