All New Honda Rebel 300 is Here: What Makes This Cruiser Bike Interesting?

Looking for a cruiser bike that is easy to handle but still has a strong road presence? The Honda Rebel 300 has now arrived in India. The brand has added the motorcycle to its premium BigWing range.

It combines a relaxed cruiser stance with a more modern approach to everyday riding. The company has not yet revealed its complete India spec details. However, Honda says the remaining configurations will be unlocked in Q4 2026. The Rebel 300 is aimed at buyers looking for a low slung cruiser with modern features and an optional E Clutch system.

Honda Rebel 300: Price, Variants And Colours

The Honda bike is available in two variants: Standard and E Clutch. The Honda Rebel 300 price starts at Rs 2.22 lakh (ex showroom). The E Clutch version costs Rs 2.62 lakh (ex showroom).

VariantEx showroom Price
Rebel 300 StandardRs 2.22 lakh
Rebel 300 E ClutchRs 2.62 lakh

Bookings for the Honda bike are currently open at Honda BigWing dealerships across India. Buyers need to pay Rs 5,000 to book the motorcycle. Deliveries are scheduled to start from mid October 2026.

For now, the available Honda Rebel 300 colour options are silver and black. The company says detailed configurations will be revealed later this year. Therefore, buyers have to wait for the final list.

Honda Rebel 300: Engine And Performance

Honda Rebel 300 Engine And Performance

The Rebel 300 uses a 286cc, liquid cooled, single cylinder engine. It produces around 30bhp and 27.5Nm. The engine comes paired with a six speed gearbox. The engine uses DOHC technology and fuel injection. The available specifications list a wet multiplate clutch for the motorcycle.

The 286cc engine places the Rebel 300 between smaller and larger premium motorcycles. Its output will make it suitable for urban riding and highway use.

The Honda bike’s engine offers smooth acceleration and enough mid range punch for city riding. Its six speed gearbox could make highway cruising more relaxed while keeping overtaking manageable.

Mileage, Fuel Tank And Everyday Running

The Indian Rebel 300 is expected to deliver around 30 kmpl mileage (ARAI). The motorcycle gets an 11.2 litre fuel tank. This capacity should provide a reasonable riding range between fuel stops.

However, actual range will depend on traffic, riding style and highway speeds. Buyers should therefore avoid using an estimated mileage figure for fuel cost calculations. The petrol powered motorcycle uses fuel injection and liquid cooling. These systems support consistent engine operation during regular riding.

Rebel 300 Design And Styling

The Rebel 300 follows a low slung cruiser design inspired by the larger Rebel 500. Its styling includes a round headlight and curved fuel tank. Exposed frame sections add to its mechanical appearance.

The motorcycle uses a tubular steel frame and alloy wheels at the front and rear. Its cruiser proportions give it a distinctive road presence compared with conventional roadsters. The Honda Rebel’s low seat height is another important part of the design. At 690mm, it should make getting on and off easier for many riders.

Rebel 300 Features, Technology And E Clutch

Rebel 300 Features

The Honda bike combines modern electronics with cruiser focused equipment. Its biggest highlight is the optional E Clutch, which can make frequent gear changes easier during everyday riding.

Key features include:

  • Circular TFT instrument display
  • Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC)
  • LED lighting
  • Dual channel ABS
  • Disc brakes on both wheels
  • Optional Honda E Clutch technology
  • Manual clutch operation remains available with E Clutch
  • E Clutch helps reduce repeated clutch lever use in traffic

Ride, Handling And Comfort

The Rebel 300 uses a steel frame with a telescopic front fork. At the rear, it gets twin shock absorbers. This setup follows a conventional cruiser layout. The motorcycle has a 690mm seat height and a 191kg kerb weight. Its 1,490mm wheelbase contributes to its cruiser proportions.

The low seat will help shorter riders manage the motorcycle while stationary. However, the weight remains important when moving the bike manually.

The 125mm ground clearance also needs attention on broken roads. Riders may need to approach large speed breakers carefully.

Brakes, Suspension, Dimensions And Weight

Honda Rebel 300 Dimensions

The Rebel 300 gets a 41mm front fork and twin rear shocks. It rides on 16 inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres.

The front tyre measures 130/90 16, while the rear uses a 150/80 16 setup. Braking hardware includes a 296mm front disc and a 240mm rear disc along with a dual channel ABS.

Rebel 300 City And Highway Usability

The Rebel 300’s low seat helps riders during frequent city stops. Its E Clutch variant adds further convenience in congested traffic. The six speed gearbox also suits highway riding. The powerful engine provides more performance than typical entry level commuter motorcycles.

However, the weight of the Rebel 300 could make tight parking areas less convenient. The ground clearance also makes road conditions worth considering.

For buyers planning regular highway trips, the 11.2 litre tank offers useful fuel capacity. Actual touring range will depend on the final mileage figure.

Honda Rebel 300 Rivals

The Honda Rebel 300 enters a segment with several established motorcycles. Its closest cruiser style rival includes the Royal Enfield Meteor 350.

Other motorcycles buyers may consider include the Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 and Jawa 42 Bobber. The Harley Davidson X440 also appears among Rebel 300 alternatives.

The Honda bike stands out through its low slung design and optional E Clutch technology. However, its higher E Clutch price could influence buyer decisions.

Verdict: Should You Buy the Honda Rebel 300?

The Honda Rebel 300 brings a distinct cruiser design to Honda’s Indian BigWing portfolio. Its engine, low seat and modern equipment make it interesting for premium bike buyers.

The Standard variant offers the lower entry price. The E Clutch version adds automated clutch operation for Rs 40,000 more.

Buyers should wait for Honda’s complete specifications before making a final decision. Mileage, colours and detailed configurations are still awaiting official confirmation. For riders looking for a low seat cruiser with modern technology, the Rebel 300 could be a good choice.
