FADA Two-Wheelers Sales Report FY'26: 21,420,386 Units Sold

FADA has released its Financial Year 2026 two-wheeler retail sales report, highlighting steady growth despite mixed performance across manufacturers. In FY'26, the Indian two-wheeler market recorded retail sales of 21,420,386 units, compared to 18,889,595 units in FY'25. This reflects an overall 13.40% year-on-year growth, supported by rising demand for premium motorcycles, scooters, and electric two-wheelers.

OEM-wise Market Share Data for FY'26 with YoY %

Hero MotoCorp

Hero retained its position as the market leader with 6,083,248 units sold in FY'26, up from 5,446,404 units in FY'25. This translated into a 11.69% YoY growth. However, the company’s market share declined slightly by 1.50%, indicating rising competition across commuter and scooter segments.

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India

Honda secured second place with 5,361,458 units in FY'26, compared to 4,791,389 units in FY'25. The brand posted a 11.90% YoY growth, though its market share slipped by 1.32%, reflecting increasing pressure from both ICE and EV competitors.

TVS Motor Company

TVS Company delivered one of the strongest performances, selling 4,046,666 units in FY'26 versus 3,303,633 units in FY'25. This resulted in a robust 22.49% YoY growth, along with a 8.02% gain in market share.

Bajaj Auto

Bajaj reported 2,249,778 units in FY'26, slightly up from 2,155,582 units in FY'25. This marked a 4.37% YoY increase, with market share dropping by 7.96%.

Suzuki Motorcycle India

Suzuki recorded 1,140,730 units in FY'26, up from 983,034 units in FY'25. The company achieved a healthy 16.04% YoY growth, while market share improved by 2.33%, driven largely by scooter-led demand.

Royal Enfield

Royal Enfield continued its strong upward trajectory with 1,108,597 units sold in FY'26, compared to 846,256 units in FY'25. This delivered an impressive 31.00% YoY growth, alongside an 15.52% rise in market share..

India Yamaha Motor

Yamaha sold 715,564 units in FY'26 versus 650,266 units in FY'25. The brand posted a modest 10.04% YoY growth, although market share declined by 2.96%, indicating stable but limited expansion.

Ather Energy

Ather Energy emerged as one of the fastest-growing players, retailing 239,178 units in FY'26, up from 131,172 units in FY'25. This translated into a massive 82.34% YoY growth, with market share rising by 60.80%, highlighting strong momentum in the premium EV space.

Ola Electric

Ola Electric faced a sharp slowdown, selling 164,295 units in FY'26 compared to 344,300 units in FY'25. This resulted in a steep 52.28% YoY decline, with market share falling by 57.92%, signalling significant challenges in sustaining volumes.

Greaves Electric Mobility

Greaves Electric sold 61,563 units in FY'26, up from 40,169 units in FY'25. The company reported a 53.26% YoY growth, along with a 35.15% improvement in market share, supported by growing acceptance of affordable electric scooters.

Classic Legends

Classic Legends registered 45,409 units in FY'26 versus 32,482 units in FY'25. This marked a 39.80% YoY growth, with market share increasing by 23.28%, reflecting steady interest in Jawa and Yezdi motorcycles.

Piaggio Vehicles

Piaggio recorded 33,887 units in FY'26, almost similar to 33,448 units in FY'25. The brand saw a 1.31% YoY growth and 10.66% drop in market share, indicating subdued demand.

BGauss Auto

BGauss Auto sold 26,201 units in FY'26, compared to 17,343 units in FY'25. This resulted in a 51.08% YoY growth, with market share improving by 33.22%, supported by gradual EV expansion.

Others Including EV

The “Others Including EV” category recorded 121,458 units in FY'26, up from 109,870 units in FY'25. This reflects an 10.55% YoY growth, with a 2.51% decline in market share, driven by new and smaller EV players entering the market.
